New model CWC British Military quartz chronograph.  This is the latest CWC watch.  It is the successor to the now discontinued 10th second quartz chronograph.  It has been developed to keep in line with the latest Ministry of Defense (MoD) specifications, which require the watch to have a twelve hour elapsed timer rather than a 10th second elapsed timer.  The twelve hour elapsed timer is far more practical and functional on a military watch used for aviation purposes.  It has been  built to the full military specification as laid out by the MoD.  The watch has been submitted to the MoD for procurement contracts.  This is for use by the Royal Air Force for fighter pilots as well as the Royal Navy for helicopter pilots.  The dial is slightly improved from the predecessor, showing all of the numerals apart from 4 where there is a date window instead.  It still has an asymmetrical stainless steel case with a thicker right side, so that the crown and buttons are recessed to avoid them snagging and catching on things which is a critical feature in field use. The chronograph pushers are now oval rather than round which gives a wider surface so are easier to operate during flight.  Has a screw on case back and sandblasted stainless steel finish, fixed bars, large crown and acrylic crystal. It uses the Ronda Startech Calibre 5030.D quartz movement. – again, all features required by the MoD for maximum security in field use.  It has a tidy and distinguishable chronograph sub dial configuration, with the constant seconds at 3, the 30 minute elapsed timer at 10 and the 12 hour elapsed timer at 6. Central chronograph sixty second hand.  The date window is at 4.  This is an uncluttered, plain, but highly functional watch, indestructible built to last with extremely tough case, acrylic crystal, strap and movement which will endure the toughest of conditions.   It has a black dial with tritium luminous markings.  It has military ordnance numbers stamped on the back. Timekeeping is excellent and to the highest of Swiss standards.  Pilot's watches are not made for submersion under water, so is not water proof - just splash proof.  Supplied on NATO strap in box with instruction booklet.  Dimensions are: Width is 38 mm excluding crown and 40 mm including crown and pushers. Lug to lug is 45 mm and thickness is 11.5 mm. Ref. CWC 12 Price is £240 or US $465

The return of the revered, magnificent and stunning CWC 1970's manual winding chronograph.  The original 1970's chronograph was issued to the RAF pilots for over a decade.  It was eventually phased out as the RAF wanted pinpoint accurate watches, and later opted for quartz.  This watch is a limited edition commemorating the legendary 1970's watch.  The re-issue has been made to the exact same high specification and gone through the same testing standards, and it comes with a timing certificate.  The movement is a modified 29 jewel Valjoux 7760 that required a big investment in extensive tooling to re-create the movement.  The CWC chronograph is known to watch collectors and military enthusiasts the world over.  The original and this re-issue are uncompromising in design, strength and durability.  They are exceptionally strong and hard working professional timepieces.  True to the original, the case is polished stainless steel, manual winding, and the back is re-created with the original issue numbers as well as some new numbers to indicate the ear and the number of the model.  The logos have remained the same as well as the broad arrow.  The dial is mat black with contrasting bold white dial markings and hands with superluminova luminous paint.  The dial is minimalist in design and is focused on functionality without the frills.  Has big pushers and large winding crown.  It is a historical and collectible watch and a guaranteed future classic.  Comes in CWC watch tin, papers and 3 year manufacturers warranty.  It is supplied on genuine MOD welded Nato  strap in RAF grey colour.  Width is 38 mm excluding crown and 41 mm including crown, Lug to lug is 47 mm, Thickness is 14.5 mm Ref: CWC 11. £649

The return of the magnificent CWC Royal Navy Automatic divers watch with Swiss made automatic 2824-2 movement and 300 metres water resistant. The is one of the most sought after military divers watches, and the watch that the Royal Navy used to replace the Rolex Submariner! Cost may have had something to do with this decision, but the CWC watch had a huge act to follow, which it did with flying colours.  It met all of the expectations required by the Ministry of Defense, and passed their rigorous testing procedures to become the standard issue. the CWC RN is built to full military specifications. The quartz version of this watch is this watch is currently issued to the RN divers, the Royal Marines and is an option for the SAS, so the watch is designed as a military instrument and therefore has the full military specifications. This being that the Ministry of Defense have rigorous testing for all of the equipment that they purchase such as operation in hot/cold conditions, low pressure/high pressure (for altitude), drop tests, collision testing, water testing, accuracy tests in over 6 positions. These are for durability and accuracy that has to be endured in the field in the most extreme of conditions. The testing went on for a period of about 3 weeks or longer. Mindful of these facts, the watch is fully capable of enduring the conditions presented to everyday use. The NATO strap is a genuine British military issue (the same one that goes to the forces, and not a cheap replica) and can be worn on outer garments. As a military instrument, and given the extreme operating environments, this watch is 100% fit for purpose.  It is solid, strong and extremely durable and legible.  It is plain, but highly functional, indestructible built to last with strong case, crystal, strap and movement which will endure the toughest of conditions.  It has a black dial with tritium luminous markings, military markings on dial, and fixed bars for the strap, hardened mineral glass and screw down crown.  It has military ordnance numbers stamped on the back.  Timekeeping is excellent and to the highest of Swiss standards.  Supplied on NATO strap in special presentation tin. Un issued CWC Special Boat Service Watch.  This watch is the current issue SBS watch.  ETA 955.122 quartz movement. The British forces SBS is UK equivalent of the Navy SEALS. This watch is the current genuine issue to the SBS servicemen. The SBS watch is not black all the way through. The blackness however does not come from paint. If it did, like some other cheaper watch brands, it will have the paint fading or rubbing off. The blackness is due to the fact that the steel is anodised and finished in an electrolytic manufacture process. This means that the colour of the steel is altered at a molecular level, therefore will not peel off, chip or fade. Stainless steel is very tough, so cannot be easily damaged. It will only shine through with sliver colour if the damage actually rips a chunk out of the watch, to the metal starts to wear down. The watch is issued to elite military units, where blackness in all equipment is necessary. Depth rating is 300 metres.  It is solid, strong and extremely durable and legible, hardened mineral glass and screw down crown.  It has military ordnance numbers stamped on the back.  Timekeeping is excellent and to the highest of Swiss standards.  Supplied on NATO strap in box.  Width is 40 mm excluding crown and 45 mm including crown, Crystal diameter is 32 mm, Lug to lug is 47 mm, Thickness is 12 mm Ref: CWC04.  Price is £295
