It comes complete with all boxes and relevant paperwork including the original warranty card. This is the copper dial variant on the Sinn classic Flieger 356. It is quite unbelievable that this watch can be designed and produced to such high standards by Germany's best known watchmaker and sold at such a reasonable price.  Made in a pilot chronograph style, this watch bears all of the hallmarks of quality, charisma and style.  It is a pleasure to wear and instantly recognisable with its curved crystal and curved back. B193 Sinn 142e.jpg (142023 bytes)

Used but mint condition re-creation of Sinn’s cult classic 142, ti was purchased in January of this year so just 10 months old when coming into stock. The original 142 was discontinued as it utilised the Lemania 5100 movement., the Lemania 5100 was discontinued by the parent group. Sinn wanted to continue the production of one of their best selling watches To create the 142 St II, Sinn worked with the established movement atelier Dubois-Dépraz to modify an ETA calibre 2892-A2 to create the new chronograph movement. This is know at Sinn as the Dubois-D. 2070 movement. The result is an especially clear, perfectly symmetrical dial with date at 12, sweep seconds at 3, chronograph hour register at 6 and 24 hour indication at 9.  This new movement design preserves the large chronograph elapsed minute hand indicated with the red tip, which was the most distinguishing feature of the Lemania 5100. The 142 automatic chronograph is a watch amongst watches. It is made from stainless steel with the steel integrated style bracelet. It is a substantial and heavy watch which is solid and durable. It not only feels the part but also looks it as it is a purposeful and imposing looking watch.  For the first time in any 142 series, Sinn has opened the back for viewing.  The movement has been elaborately decorated with engraved rotor, Côtes de Genève, perlage, and blued screws, all covered by a sapphire crystal. Other features include resistance to shock and magnetic fields, water resistance to 100 meters, and bi-directional rotating inner bezel with 60 minute scale which is rotated through the crown at 10.  It is reputedly the first automatic chronograph worn in space by Reinhard Furrer on the 1985 Spacelab D1 mission.  The design is outstanding and has been around for a number of years, ignoring the fashion trends of the 80's and 90's, the watch has remained a constant and won a great deal of respect by sticking to the initial design principles, not least to mention it's durability, reliability and functionality. Complete with all boxes and papers, usual selling price is £1,775. Width is 44 mm excluding crown and 46 mm including crown Lug to lug is 44 mm, Thickness is 16 mm. Ref. NWW 839. sold

This is the Pilot S model which is the smaller size model for those who do not like over sized watches. The dimensions are the same size as a Rolex Air King. Archimede is a subsidiary of Limes. Limes (pronounced "Lee mes"), is a watch manufacturer born out of the Ickler company who have been a specialist case maker since 1924. They have had contracts to supply watch cases to the world’s leading watch manufacturers.  Today Limes have re-modelled their business and are now involved in designing complete watches utilising their vast experience, design and manufacturing skills to produce some of the finest watches in the world, and certainly amongst the best in their price class. This is the Archimede Pilot Chronograph. This one though is made to more wearable everyday proportions. It has an oversized pilot crown, to make operation of it very easy. It has an oversized dial with bold, highly legible luminous numerals, and date between the 4 and 5 position.  The design is true to the original pilot watches and from this era, one of the first pilot watches ever made, thus setting the trend in the way a modern pilot watch looks even today.  The dial is mat black with lumionova luminosity.  It is 50 metres water resistant, with a sapphire crystal and the case is finely crafted and beautifully made in a satinised finish. The movement is a Swiss made 25 jewel automatic ETA 2824-2 exhibited through a glass display back. This is a “Top Grade” movement which is nicely decorated. Used but excellent to mint condition Tutima Military Chronograph in stainless steel. The Tutima Military Chronograph is one of the watches that has previously been used by German and Nato military forces. It was adopted by the armed forces for issue to pilots, officers and special forces. The reasons were not only for the reliability, durability and robustness, but also the unique design of the control buttons for the chronograph functions. Instead of the usual protruding buttons, they used large spaced push buttons integrated into the case. This feature facilitated operation, particularly when wearing gloves, as well as reducing protruding parts that could interfere or cause injury to the wearer. The buttons however did not affect the 10 ATM water resistance of the watch. Please note, this item is used and not tested for this water resistance. It uses the tried and tested Lemania 5100 automatic movement. The 5100 has passed countless endurance tests with flying colours. Its robustness, reliability and precision under even the toughest of conditions is partly due to the refinement and evolution of it as well as the number of moving parts being kept to a bare minimum without impairing the functions. The watch is designed as an instrument and provides instant legibility as it has a sharply contrasting dial. The sixty minute elapsed timer is one of the large centre hands, with the red t-bar tip, which provides very good legibility for elapsed timing without having to look in the smaller sub dials. Has a 24 hour indicator at the 12 position, twelve hour elapsed timer at the 6 position, and sixty second elapsed timer is the large red sweep centre second hand. The subsidiary seconds is at the 9 position and day and date at the 3 position. The crystal is sapphire with anti reflective coating.  It has a recessed screw down crown and is water resistant to 20 bar (approximately 200 metres).  The internal fixed bezel has 12 hour markings for additional elapsed time functionality. It comes on the original steel bracelet and also with a replacement rubber strap. It comes with all boxes, papers and instructions. UK retail price is £2,400 (US $3,940). Used condition with odd marks to the watch, nothing serious. Outstanding and very impressive and imposing looking wristwatch. Used but mint condition eleven months  old  when take into stock Sinn 103 Ti Diapal. This is a variation on the 103 Titanium, to create the 103 Titanium Diapal. This combines two of Sinn’s most popular models to create a watch fit for all purposes. The 103 is the longest running in Sinn’s range of watches. The Sinn 103 Ti UTC DIAPAL is chronograph with a completely lubricant free escapement, which is a world first.  Every wristwatch requires a service every few years as the escapement wheels and pallets need lubricating to avoid friction.  Sinn used the technological innovations of the space program to develop a lubrication free escapement called DIAPAL, which is a reference to the friction reducing technique of replacing the ruby pallet stones with diamonds, hence the name DIAmond PALlets.  The diamond pallets are then fitted to the traditional movements, in this case the Valjoux 7750, so you have the tried and tested Valjoux 7750, which is the world standard for automatic chronographs, which has been modified with space age technology to make it friction free.  This is a technology which has been years in the making at the Sinn labs.  In addition to the movement The cases are treated with “Tegiment” process.  This is the process where the ice-hardened outer layer of special anti-corrosive stainless steel is hardened to 1,200 Vickers which is four times harder than nickeliferous high grade stainless steel used in other high quality stainless steel watches.  This steel process is rarely found in watches, but is more often found in surgical instruments, and aerospace and aviation. The bracelet is treated in the same process to give it equal strength to the case.  Has a sapphire crystal, screw down crown and is water resistant to 20 ATM.  The dial is anthracite in colour with black sub dials and is an attractive and striking looking watch.  The UTC hand is a dual time indicator and is independently set of the main hands and points to a second time zone.  If you do not want a second time zone showing, the hand can be set to move in synchronization with the hour hand and it fits behind it perfectly so it will never be seen. Mint and unused new old stock Sinn 142. It was purchased off a customer who originally purchased it from us when it was a current model, it has not been worn during this time and is in new condition. Outstanding design and very successful model, the 142 automatic chronograph is a watch amongst watches.  Incorporating the highly functional and technical Lemania 5100 movement, this watch is a real work horse. This one is titanium, and shown here with the argon fill option and water absorbing capsule, both used as moisture repellants to ensure the cleanest of atmospheric conditions within the machine. It is noted as argon fill with the AR logo on the dial. The watch is durable and light in weight and is a classic design and a watch that is increasing in value. It comes with the original box and paperwork. The Sinn 142 is famed as being the first automatic chronograph in space, and the case back is stamped to reflect this.  It is engraved with the NASA space shuttle and the words “First Automatic Chronograph in Space”, below which is the serial number of the watch.  Indeed the watch was worn by Reinharf Furrer, the first German Spacelab Astronaut on the 1980 D1-Mission.   The Lemania is slightly different to other automatic chronographs as it has a 24 hour representation of the current time shown in the sub dial at the 12 position.  In outer space, or even cross time zone travel in aircraft on Earth, this is a useful feature as it is sometimes impossible to know if the time at say 5 o’clock is am or pm.  The 12 hour chronograph elapsed timer is at the 6 position, the 1 hour elapsed timer is the large hand that rotates the dial with the red cross bar tip.  The 60 second elapsed timer is the other large sweep hand that shares the same axis as the 60 minute recorder.  It has a bi directional internal rotating bezel with hour markings which is useful for navigational purposes and flight plan calculating, as well as another means of recording elapsed time.  The internal bezel is operated by the crown at the 10 position.  This is a large, heavy, solid and substantial watch, which is robust, enduring and highly functional.  It has a scratch resistant sapphire crystal and day / date function.  The day wheel is in German.  The case and is stainless steel, in a satin finish.  It is water resistant to 10 ATM.  The watch has technical features and has the highly regarded and very collectible It is one of Sinn’s all time classics, and a very sought after and desirable watch.  Comes in box with papers.  It comes on a genuine Sinn rubber strap with Sinn Singed clasp and fliplock safety clasp. Dimensions are: Width is 43.5 mm excluding crowns, 46 mm including crowns, lug to lug is 44 mm and thickness is 15 mm.  Ref. NWW 767. sold

Used just over two year old absolutely mint and virtually unworn condition Sinn 757 UTC Diapal. The 757 Diapal is a Variation on the 757 and the 756 Diaplal, to create the 757 Diapal. This combines two of Sinn’s most popular models to create a watch fit for all purposes. The Sinn 757 UTC DIAPAL is chronograph with a completely lubricant free escapement, which is a world first. Width is 43 mm excluding crown and 46 mm including crown Lug to lug is 48 mm, Thickness is 14 mm.  Ref. NWW 798. sold

Used but mint condition Precista PRS 5 Military chronograph with manual winding wristwatch, made by Timefactos to British military specification. It is just over one year old and has around 10 months left on the original 2 year manufacturer warranty. The design is that of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s RAF pilot issue watch which was made by Lemania and latterly CWC.  It has an asymmetrical stainless steel case with screw back in sandblasted stainless steel finish.  Very distinguishable chronograph with classic sub dial configuration and dial design in typical military utility and practicality.  This is an uncluttered, plain, but highly functional watch, built to last with extremely tough case, crystal, strap and movement which will endure the tough conditions.  It has a black dial with luminous markings and hands. It has got spring bars so regular straps can be easily fitted as well as the traditional nato webbing straps. It is 5 ATM water resistant. This version has got the upgraded glass back displaying the movement. The movement is a surprisingly attractive looking movement given the price point of the watch. It is a nicely decorated Sea Gull ST 5. According to Timefactors, “the Seagull factory has been manufacturing movements since 1955 and have long been the favourite movements for replica watches. The ST-19 is a 19 jewel column-wheel chronograph, allegedly identical to the Venus 175 movement and made on the same machinery, which the Chinese acquired when the Venus 175 went out of production. Others claim that the Seagull was simply reverse-engineered from the Venus and the argument continues over which story is correct: either way, the fact remains that the design retains all durability of the original Venus” It comes on black leather strap strap. Dimensions are 38 mm excluding crown, 40 mm including crown, 46 mm lug to lug and 13 mm thick.  Ref. NWW 778.185 reserved

Used but mint condition Arctos Elite GMT. The watch was originally purchased from us originally in 2008, but seen very little use during this time The UK retail price on the watch is £1,225 (US $2,210) The Arctos Elite GMT has a distinctive look and feel to it, this is characterised by its functionality and distinctive large orange GMT hand and twenty four hour bezel. To assure that there is not too much information on the dial, the twenty four hour markings are strategically placed on the outer fixed bezel and not the dial. The watch is designed for the most extreme demands of the Special Forces as well as the demanding watch connoisseur. The dial is typically utility or military in style with bold primary numbers, large crown, large and substantial case, mat black dial with white Superluminova coated hands and number markings, with a date at the 6 position. The hands are the “Mercedes” type hands with central sweep second hand. The date wheel is black with white print so as to blend in well with the dial. It has got a scratch resistant convex sapphire crystal with hardness of 9 on Mohs scale of 1 to 10 meaning that it can only a diamond or material with diamond in it with a hardness of 10 is capable of damaging the synthetically manufactured sapphire crystal. In addition the crystal is treated with anti reflective coating so that the dial and hands are always clearly legible. The anti reflective coating is on the under side of the crystal so it does not flake off due to scratching the surface of the crystal. The watch has got a screw down crown. Only once the crown is unscrewed can the mechanism be manually wound and the hands adjusted. The screw in crown mechanism protects the watch from moisture and dust and enhances its shock resistance. The screw in crown in conjunction with the screw on back makes it withstand pressures up to 20 bars (approximately 200 metres) and surpass the waterproofing requirements of the German Institute for Standardisation (DIN norm 8310). The case is machined from a solid block of stainless steel. The material is anti magnetic 316L stainless steel which is an alloy that is widely used in surgical instruments and in space industries. The raw block undergoes numerous processing steps from which is emerges as a robust case, precision manufactured to within a hundredth of a millimetre, which protects the movement from moisture, dust and impacts. The watch uses the highly regarded and tried and trusted Swiss made twenty five jewelled automatic winding ETA 2893-2 as a base which is modified to Arctos specifications.  This movement has got a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The British forces SBS is UK equivalent of the Navy SEALS, and the navy equivalent of the SAS. This watch is the current genuine issue to the SBS servicemen. The SBS watch is not black all the way through. The blackness however does not come from paint. If it did, like some other cheaper watch brands, it will have the paint fading or rubbing off. This means that the colour of the steel is altered at a molecular level, therefore will not peel off, chip or fade. Stainless steel is very tough, so cannot be easily damaged. It will only shine through with sliver colour if the damage actually rips a chunk out of the watch, to the metal starts to wear down. The watch is issued to elite military units, where blackness in all equipment is necessary. Depth rating is 300 metres.  It is solid, strong and extremely durable and legible, hardened mineral glass and screw down crown.  It has military ordnance numbers stamped on the back.  Timekeeping is excellent and to the highest of Swiss standards.  Supplied on NATO strap in box.  Width is 40 mm excluding crown and 45 mm including crown, Crystal diameter is 32 mm, Lug to lug is 47 mm, Thickness is 12 mm.
