U2 Divers Automatic Wristwatch

Used but mint and barely used condition Sinn U2, purchased 2 months prior to advertising. Sinn are well renowned and highly regarded in watch manufacturing as they are innovators and producers of mainly instrument, military and aviation watches. They are know for investing large amounts of money in research and development and have some world leading technical innovations that make their watches highly desirable and collectible. Moreover, they are fanatical about engineering standards , and the Sinn watches are over engineered, without being over designed – and at a price point that does not edge them away from the enthusiasts. The U1 and U2 watches are indeed unique and one of a kind. They keep in line with Sinn’s philosophy of manufacturing watches that are built to the highest standards, and employ the latest in technical developments. The U1 and U2 are designed with specific diving use and totally impervious to water penetration. The U1 and U2 cases are made from stainless steel that used in the construction of the outer hull of submarines. The steel was by procured by Sinn from a steel supplier to Emden GmbH, one of Germany’s North Sea shipbuilding yards who construct submarines from the very same steel. This submarine steel is not only extraordinarily sea water resistant (PRE value up to 38), it possesses also the highest anti magnetic quality. Another main advantage of this steel that Sinn’s Tegiment technology could also be combined with it. The Uni directional ratchet operated rotating bezel is Tegimented where the steel can be hardened on up to 1500 Vickers. Compared to regular 316 L stainless steel which is hardened to approximately 220 Vickers. The indices are machined directly into the bezel without the use of bezel inserts, which can corrode or come loose at deep depths. The watch has the bezel hardened to 1,500 Vickers by the use of Sinn’s tegimented treatment in the Sinn laboratory. The U2 has an argon filled cavity with copper sulphate water absorbing capsule. This model has the capsule visible at the 6 position on the dial. Has a sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating, screw down crown with three gaskets and is water resistant to 2000 metres to DIN 8306 specification. The watch has an ETA 2893-2 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 beats per hour, shockproof according to DIN 8308 specification and anti magnetic according to DIN 8309 specification. It operates in temperatures between -45° Celsius to +80° Celsius due to the special lubricants in the movement applied in the Sinn laboratory. The U2 has a UTC hand which is a short red dual time hand and this can be independently set from the main hour hand. Mat black dial with date at the 3 position. Used but excellent condition Schaumburg Aquamatic No. 1. Retail price is £795 or US $1,345. It is a divers watch which is substantial strong and durable. It is a rugged looking watch which is as strong as it looks. It is large and bold and is a very well made instrument watch which will stand up to the tests of being used as a divers utility tool watch or whether being worn for every day use. It is a 1000 metre diving watch, which is constructed in an environmentally controlled lab to ensure dry air so there is minimal moisture in the atmosphere when the watch is being constructed. The case is milled from a single block of high grade 316L stainless steel. It has a uni directional ratchet operated rotating bezel with minute iterations tot the first fifteen minutes. The case is well engineered with a tiered level dropping off at the lugs. It has large crown protection shoulders. The screw down crown is knurled. It also has a helium escape valve, essential for decompression when diving to prevent pressure build up within the watch and causing it any damage. The helium escape valve is also knurled. The knurled pattern on the crowns is not just for decoration as the watch comes with an aluminum crown key which is tubular and slots over the crown. The key gives excellent leverage to ensure the crowns are fully secure. The case has a solid stainless steel screw down back. It has a thick scratch resistant sapphire crystal which is double secured by a screwed in spacer ring. The dial is mat black with large numerals and bold hands for excellent legibility. The numbers, dots and hands use Superluminova luminous compound which is state of the art, non radioactive and conforms to all current safety standards. It has second iterations on an internal angled bezel, giving the watch a three dimensional look. Used but mint condition 3 months old Max Bill automatic. The Max Bill design watch is remains true to form of the original Max Bill design watches dating from the 1950’s. Almost nothing has altered apart from the fact that it is constructed today from modern materials in a modern environment, and of course with a modern movement. These factors make for an altogether more accurate, stronger and more reliable wristwatch. It is a classical design and looks like it has stepped right of the decade from which it was first introduced – and many watches standards were set by designs like this one. It has got a 25 jeweled Swiss made ETA 2824-2 automatic movement. The case is gold plated which is highly polished, and slender and sleek in deign. It has a solid steel snap on case back which bears Max Bill’s signature. The dial is mat black with minute markings and hour markings giving a very minimalist feel to it. Long flowing lines seem to be the main design influence, therefore the hour markers and hands are long. The long hands touch the correct points where the hour hand tips the hour marks, the minute hand touches the minute marks numbers, and the central sweep second hand follows the same line as the minute hand, just tipping the minute/second marks as it sweeps past them. The hands are luminous filled, with double luminous dot at the 12 position, and single luminous dots at the 3, 6 and 9 position. Has an attractive convex highly domed plexi glass acrylic crystal, which at some angles makes the dial appear slightly curved, creating an appealing effect. Sinn 155 Automatic Chronograph

Used but absolutely mint and brand new looking Sinn 155 Flieger chronograph. The 155 is limited to a production run of only 300 pieces. The Model 155 is a pilot chronograph equipped with a different dial based around the original Bundchronograph that used and the Valjoux 230 originally made in the early 1980s to equip the aircraft personnel of the Bundeswehr. Mint condition and barely worn Sinn 757 UTC Diapal. It was purchased from us in December 2008 making it 10 months old when taken back into stock. during this time it has not had any hard use and looks to be in brand new condition. It comes on a bracelet which is the heavy duty and substantial bracelet with hex bolts. The watch is a variation on the 757 and the 756 Diapl, to create the 757 Diapal. This combines two of Sinn’s most popular models to create a watch fit for all purposes. The Sinn 757 UTC DIAPAL is chronograph with a completely lubricant free escapement, which is a world first. Every wristwatch requires a service every few years as the escapement wheels and pallets need lubricating to avoid friction. Sinn used the technological innovations of the space program to develop a lubrication free escapement called DIAPAL, which is a reference to the friction reducing technique of replacing the ruby pallet stones with diamonds, hence the name DIAmond PALlets. The diamond pallets are then fitted to the traditional movements, in this case the Valjoux 7750, so you have the tried and tested Valjoux 7750, which is the world standard for automatic chronographs, which has been modified with space age technology to make it friction free. This is a technology which has been years in the making at the Sinn labs. In addition to the movement The cases are treated with “Tegiment” process. This is the process where the ice-hardened outer layer of special anti-corrosive stainless steel is hardened to 1,200 Vickers which is four times harder than nickeliferous high grade stainless steel used in other high quality stainless steel watches. This steel process is rarely found in watches, but is more often found in surgical instruments, and aerospace and aviation. The UTC hand is a dual time indicator and is independently set of the main hands and points to a second time zone. Used but mint condition Sinn 356 automatic pilot chronograph. It was originally bought from us in July 2009, so only three months old when taken back into stock. The watch has not had much use and has been looked after during this period so is in brand new looking condition. The original owner traded it in to us. This was because he is a motor racing fan decided to upgrade to a 103 A Sa, which has more of a racing appeal to it. It is quite unbelievable that this watch can be designed and produced to such high standards by Germany's best known watchmaker and sold at such a reasonable price. Used but mint condition Epos Sophistiquee wristwatch model reference 3377 with black dial. Virtually brand new and was just three weeks old when taken back into stock. Sold by us to a customer who changed his mind about the style of the watch, so he traded it back in after owning it for three weeks. During this time it was tried on but not really worn. The Sophistiquée is a beautifully designed, contemporary looking watch with a cut away dial which exposes the part of the movement containing the balance wheel and escapement so there is plenty to see as it ticks away at 28,800 beats per hour. It has got a mechanical hand-wound skeleton movement which is the Swiss made Unitas 6498, which is decorated with fancy engraving and blued screws. It is a single hand watch. Used but mint condition CWC British Military chronograph. It has an asymmetrical stainless steel case with screw back in sandblasted stainless steel finish. This is the CWC quartz version of the RAF watch which is made for contracts with the RAF and other air forces around the world with this watch as the manual wind mechanical chronograph is no longer issued. Tidy and distinguishable chronograph sub dial configuration, with the constant seconds at 6, the 30 minute elapsed timer at 10 and the 1/10 the second counter at 2. Chronograph centre minute hand. Excellent all round condition, fitted with a brand new strap. This watch is the G10 2000, which is currently issued the British army so the watch is designed as a military instrument and therefore has the full military specifications. This being that the MOD has got rigorous testing for all of the equipment that they purchase such as operation in hot/cold conditions, low pressure/high pressure (for altitude), drop tests, collision testing, water testing, accuracy tests. These are for durability and accuracy that has to be endured in the field in the most extreme of conditions. The testing went on for a period of about 3 weeks or longer. Used but Mint condition V-Max Freestyle quartz wristwatch. Originally sold by us 6 months ago, and taken back in stock as a part exchange in unworn condition. It is designed to a hard wearing and practical specification and priced at a sensible level so as to make the watch affordable to most people. It is also designed to be worn either as an everyday watch or as a beater. Function and form have been the prime most considerations when laying out the specification. This is because it is meant to be a utility type watch. To this end it has been well constructed using high grade materials, crystal, dial and movement using Swiss materials. It has a military feel to it and the dial is based on the 1960’s Vietnam era military watches. The case is made out of solid high grade 316 L stainless steel, which has a sandblasted finish. The case is large and heavy. It has got a screw down crown which is engine turned to allow easy use of the crown. The case back is screw down and these two combined give the watch a water rating of 200 metres. It also has a scratch resistant sapphire crystal which is a hard glass and can only be scratched by material of equivalent strength or stronger than sapphire. The bracelet is a solid link bracelet with solid end links where it attaches to the watch. It is sandblasted/polished finish. The clasp is a folding clasp with double push button security release as well as a fliplock safety clasp. It has got a uni directional ratchet operated rotating bezel with a full 60 minute scale which can be used for independent timing of up to one hour. The movement is a Swiss made Ronda quartz powered movement. The dial and hands are self illuminating. Small glass tubes are coated on the inside with luminous matter, filled with gaseous tritium and then sealed airtight. The electrons emitted by the tritium gas cause activation of the luminous matter without the need to external light charging. There are 12 tritium tubes providing the luminescence. The minute and hour hands also contain the tritium tubes making them luminous. The luminescence is green for the dial and hands and orange at the 12 o’clock. Broadarrow PRS 5 Military chronograph with manual winding wristwatch,
made by Timefactos to British military specification. The Broadarrow
brand is becoming quite collectible amongst enthusiasts as the brand has
lapsed and been superceded by the Precista brand. The design is that of
the late 1960’s and early 1970’s RAF pilot issue watch which was
made by Lemania and latterly CWC. It has an asymmetrical stainless
steel case with screw back in sandblasted stainless steel finish.
Very distinguishable chronograph with classic sub dial configuration and
dial design in typical military utility and practicality. This is
an uncluttered, plain, but highly functional watch, built to last with
extremely tough case, crystal, strap and movement which will endure the

GSG 9 Automatic Chronograph –

This is the GSG 9 version of
the outstanding and very successful model, the 142 automatic chronograph
box set. The GSG 9 is an elite German military unit and this watch
commemorates that unit. It
is superbly presented in an aluminium carry case which also contains a
CD on the GSG 9 unit, the box set also comes with a knife, key ring
torch, bracelet changing tool, and both leather strap and titanium
bracelet. The watch incorporates the highly functional and technical
Lemania 5100 movement, this watch is a real work horse. It is
reputedly the first automatic chronograph worn in space by Reinhard
Furrer on the 1985 Spacelab D1 mission. The design is outstanding
and has been around for a number of years, ignoring the fashion trends
of the 80's and 90's, the watch has remained a constant and won a great
deal of respect by sticking to the initial design principles, not least
to mention it's durability, reliability and functionality. it has
got a few wear marks to the case but nothing that cannot be polished
out. The watch has got a sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating,
screw down crown and it is water resistant to 10 bar. It has got
in internal rotating bezel operated by the crown and the 10 position.
The strap is original to the watch with Sinn signed pin buckle, and also
comes with the original Sinn signed titanium bracelet. Width
is 41 mm excluding crown and 43 mm including crown Lug to lug is 44 mm,
