Omega Speedmaster originally purchased in France in 1976 and comes with original box and papers. The watch is in mint condition and comes on a new old stock bracelet which is correct for the watch. This is possibly one of the most famous watches ever made as it has a historical association with NASA and space travel. It has also gained legendary status which in attributed not only to it’s success in space as a professional instrument, but simply due to the fact that it is a beautiful looking watch, which is durable and practical, and can be worn on any occasion. This is whether travelling in outer space or worn with a tuxedo, or worn at a football match. The Speedmaster passed all of NASA’s stringent testing when they were selecting a watch for their space missions in the 1960’s. The other would be watches crumbled half way through testing. The other watches included some of the big name brands still around today. The Speedmaster however passed all of the tests and continued to operate as normal. This was with no special modifications as all of the testing candidates were purchased from a jewelers store in Texas. The watch had to pass all of the extreme testing for the good reason that during space travel, it would be subjected to the environments that were simulated during the tests. This being outer space, the most extreme and hostile environment known to man. Some of the conditions it required endurance was to survive massive acceleration, compression, extreme and instantaneous temperature and humidity changes, amongst more.  It is true to the original design with manual winding mechanical movement, plexi crystal, and solid steel back. The back is engraved with "Flight qualified by NASA for all manned space missions" and "The first watch worn on the moon" A real piece of watch making history. Dimensions are Width including the crown is 40 mm, width excluding the crown is 43 mm, lug to lug is 48 mm and thickness is 14.5 mm. Ref. OMG 287, reserved

Excellent condition Omega Military pocket watch.  It comes on a very old leather strap, possibly originally used with the watch but impossible to tell. Omega themselves need no introduction as they are one of the most famous watch houses in the world.  In the early days of their history they were making pocket watches before the advent of the wristwatch.  This one is one of their military watches that was issued to the British armed forces during the World War 1 period and is more than likely to have been issued to an officer.  The style is typical in military design with a white dial with large and bold numerals and hands, luminous fill is still in tact.  The dial is signed Omega as is the movement which is in excellent condition.  As with all military watches, the case is metal alloy.  The case back is stamped with the military issue numbers G.S.T.P. Y06169 and above these, the broad arrow military symbol. SSTP is an acronym for General Service Timepiece. The inside of the case back is also stamped by Omega.  The movement is in excellent condition and the bridge is stamped with Omega.  It is a 15 jewel stem wound movement.  This is a wonderful piece of military memorabilia and one to be treasured by a collector which appeals to militaria and Omega enthusiasts alike.  Dimensions are width is 50 mm and thickness is 15mm.  Ref: OMG 288.  Price is £225 or US $445

Incredible Omega Flightmaster hand wound chronograph.  This is an Omega watch that is getting harder and harder to find.  They are very collectible and very popular.  It is the watch that does everything for the pilot, navigator or flight engineer.  They are colourful large and very substantial in appearance and feel.  As well as telling the time it has got a twelve hour chronograph, which is operated by the pushers at 2 and 4.  It also has the rather essential GMT or dual time zone hand which enables the watch to be used for recording and calculating flight plans.  This is operated by the crown and the 7 position.  The GMT hand is the thick blue hand.  It also has an internal rotating bezel which is operated by the crown and the 10 position.  This is can be sued for calculating elapsed time on either the main time or on the GMT time.  Again these are very useful functions for anybody travelling across time zones who need to record the flight time or any other kind of elapsed time.  It is a handsome and charming watch with tons of appeal and charisma.  It comes on the original Omega signed steel bracelet.  The case and bracelet have been refinished to remove scratches or marks. Excellent condition Omega Speedmaster MK II hand wound with Calibre 861 movement dating from circa 1972.  This watch was the natural evolution of the Omega Speedmaster moonwatch, but adapted to design and technology changes as the 1970’s provided radical new styling.  Many people say that the 1970’s watches like the Omegas are ugly, but they are badly misinformed and lack a sense of style – one day they will come to their senses.  The 1970’s designs are iconic, stylish and beautiful and represent a symbol of their era.  It utilised the same movement as the moon watch, used from 1969 until the late 1980’s.  This is a very technical looking watch which has a lot of hands and a lot of functions.  It is all stainless steel, very thick and heavy substantial watch, and is in the same case as the Omega Speedmaster automatic using the Calibre 1045.  The sixty second elapsed timer is the large orange central sweep hand, and the thirty minute elapsed timer is the sub dial at the 3 position, also with orange hand, and the twelve hour elapsed timer is the dub dial at the 6 position.  The dial can record to 1/5th second and for easy reading of elapsed time, it is broken up suing orange and white colours.  All functions work perfectly and keeps good time.  The crystal has some scratches, a good watchmaker can polish them out or replacement crystals can still be bought, but best left alone.  Dimensions are as follows.  Width excluding crown is 42 mm, width including crown is 44 mm, lug to lug is 46 mm and thickness is 15mm. Other manufacturers inscriptiosn on the case are also in German. Included in the inscriptions are Walz Gold Double 20 Mikron – translating to 20 micron rolled gold.  There is also a Buffalo engraving and the mane Omega along with Serial numbers, so the case appears to be manufactured by Omega and not a case maker.  To the front of the watch, the numerals are applied in gold to a champagne colour dial with gold Breguet style hands and numerals  It has a subsidiary seconds at the 6 position.  The movement is very clean and is a 15 jewel Omega signed movement.  The movement is protected by a cover, the top of the cover shows the engraving of the original owner.  It is a stem wound watch so does not require a key. The 1970s’ watches don’t get any better than this. Stunning Omega Memomatic automatic alarm watch with manual winding alarm mechanism. This watch is in all round very good condition with some minor marks here and there but nothing serious.  The watch was recently completely serviced prior to it coming into stock. The owner claimed that it was serviced by a member of the maintenance team who service Big Ben in Westminster, how true that might be is anybody’s guess, but the watch is in perfect working order and the alarm works perfectly. The dial is grey marked with orange and white accents. It comes on the original large seamaster style bracelet, which is suitable for an 8 inch wrist. Large Omega logo on folding clasp. The crown at 4 is also Omega signed.  This crown winds up the alarm mechanism, as well as sets the hands and the alarm time setting. The button at 2 starts and stops the alarm sounding. It also needs to be pushed in for the alarm to be wound up. The setting mechanism is on an independent rotating disc within the dial. The date at 3 is quick set and has a recessed pusher to adjust the date, this is operated with a sharp object or a pen. Large and handsome watch keeping excellent time, and alarm working spot on. A real gem. The Omega alarms are of medium loudness, they are not as lout as the JLC or Revue Thommen alarms. Dimensions are as follows: width is 40 mm excluding crown and 42mm including crown, lug to lug is 43 mm, and the thickness is 15 mm. Ref: OMG 259. sold
