Mat black watches have always been popular, they are slick looking, understated and stylish.  Above all, they are the choice of people who like to go un noticed, such as servicemen, policemen hunters etc as there is no glare or shines to give the watch away, so style and discretion is the word on a mat black finish watch.  The watch uses high grade stainless steel, DIN number 1,4435.  This is then chrome plated and galvanized to produce a hard wearing mat black surface.   The watch has a soft inner metal core to give it it’s powerful anti magnetic resistance.  With its stunning good looks and black coating, this watch has it all.  A simple design, with 4 large prime hour numbers, jet black with white markings and hands gloving maximum visibility and clarity.  The design is based on an aircraft clock.  As well as being a lovely practical looking watch, it is highly functional and is extremely resistant to magnetic interference, and has a strong well finished crystal and case.  There is a small date window between the 4 and 5 hour markings.  It is small so not to interfere with the numeric symmetry of this beautifully designed watch.  A true future classic and the watch that everybody is talking about.  The watch features a Swiss made ETA 2824-2 automatic, screw down crown and case back, 10 ATM water resistance, black steel bracelet manufactured under the same process as the case, stopseconds, sapphire crystal, presentation box. The Sinn U1000 is a world first in the watch industry in that it fulfils the European diving equipment standard. Its reliability, accuracy and faultless operation, even under extreme changes of temperature have been subject to review and testing and duly certified by Hamburg based institution Germanischer Lloyd, who have the responsibility for technical safety in the maritime world. Germanischer Lloyd have certified the pressure resistance of the U1000 to 100 bar or 1,000 metres. The U1000 is and outstanding diver chronograph with an unmistakable character. It is a watch with special capabilities and technologically advanced features, unlike any other available today. In its design too, which as with all Sinn watches, is guided strictly by function. The U1000 projects and imposing presence: tough, well constructed and guaranteed to work. These are essential qualities for anyone who wants to ensure that their personal safety will be reliable every day, and even under extreme diving conditions. The watch has an optimised chronograph display. Technically, Sinn have nothing to chance, every little detail meticulously planned. At the heart of the watch is a calibre SZ 02 automatic movement. This was developed and manufactured for functionality with the chronograph indicator at 6 o'clock position which is more prominent and logical to see, in a very large sub dial. It is on a 60-minute counter - and not as usual on a 30-minute timer. These combined make for a highly legible display. This practical design has an unbeatable advantage: With support from the 12-hour meter for hours can be at a glance the chronographs stopped by the hours, minutes and seconds without adding cumbersome easily read. Impeccable operation even when diving at a depth of 1,000 metres (100 bar). Concerning the operation of the chronograph function, Sinn have the same in many respects developed even more future-oriented standards. Because the chronograph can be stopped under water, and because of the large, non screw down pushers even with diving gloves use. Safe operation is ensured until nominal pressure is reached, a feature in addition to the bezel, offers the user and additional timing feature. The styling of the U1000 fulfils the strict standards applicable to mission timers. Among other things this means that form rigorously follows function. The ingenious dehumidifying technology guarantees protection against moisture. For every diver, knowing that their watch will not mist up is of life saving importance. Sinn have solved this problem with their patented, technologically sophisticated dehumidifying technology. To slow down the ageing of the oils caused by enclosed air humidity inside the watch, the U1000 mechanism is mounted in a dry atmosphere created by three supporting elements being the copper sulphate water absorbing capsule, double Viton seals and inert argon gas filling. German submarine steel guarantees seawater resistance. The U1000 casing is made of practically sea water resistant submarine steel and has been hardened using Tegiment technology. It offers effective protection against scratching of the casing surface. The watch has got a 60 minute, 60 step ratcheted rotating bezel which is also secured against inadvertent adjustment by patented system, for example when receiving a bump. The watch is guaranteed to operate between - 45°C to + 80°C. In summary, the features are as follows: Full Tegiment construction - six times harder than standard steel watches. Case constructed of submarine steel for superior resistance to corrosion, scratches and magnetism. Double Viton® seals. Modified SZ-02 movement with redesigned 60 minute register. Sinn special oil for operation in extreme temperatures. Four Sinn copper sulphate capsules to absorb moisture and humidity. Inert gasses have been inserted into the case to promote a dry and stable environment. Bezel is screwed to the case using an exclusive Sinn design. Bezel is locked into position and will rotate only when pushed down. Built to the standards of the German special forces - EZM 6. Double coated anti-reflective sapphire crystal hardened with Tegiment process. In house case construction from Sinn's Glashutte case manufacture SUG Dimensions are as follows. Width is 44 mm excluding crown, 49 mm including crown, lug to lug is 51 mm and thickness is 19 mm  Ref SIN 69a. Price is £2,345

The Sinn 757 is a variation on the existing 756, manufactured to larger specifications and with the addition of the bi directional rotating bezel.  Apart from being a completely unique watch, designed like not other watch past and present, new materials and new technologies take these models to another level of design and robustness. The cases are steel distortion-free ice-hardened and reached with it a hardness of 60 HRC (Rockwell) and/or 710 HV. This corresponds to a three to quadruple hardness compared with normal nickeliferous high-grade steel. The new patented crown and pusher system of the 756 was designed to prohibit any moisture building in the case. The pusher seals sit one behind another and lubricated by a self-lubrication system almost makes the case impenetrable by water or moisture. The case does have a copper sulphate capsule which when reacts with moisture diffuses the humidity and therefore protecting the glass from condensation clouding. The jewels in the 756 7750 movement are lubricated with a special oil 66228 with a temperature range guarantee from minus 45 degrees to plus 80 degrees. The black on black emblem on the dial of the 756 at the 9 o'clock position is representative of the magnetic field core in the watch which symbolises the protection of the movement up 1000 gauss .The highly-regarded and precise Swiss Movement the Valjoux 7750 forms a sound base for the time keeping capabilities of this model . Also the high resolution dial with the anti reflective sapphire crystal glass guarantees good legibility in most if not all light conditions.  Sapphire crystal, screw down crown and 20 ATM water resistant. Latest model from Sinn, iutstanding quality watch at entry level pricing.  This is a well designed watch produced to high standards by Germany's best known watchmaker. It is the Sinn Flieger 657 automatic pilot’s wristwatch.  This is a modified version of the Sinn 656, which is one of Sinn’s best selling models.  It has been modified to include a pilot style rotating bezel.  This is a bi directional ratchet operated sturdy rotating bezel.  Like the rest of the dial design, the numerics on the bezel are big and bold and symmetrically laid out.  The dial is likewise symmetrical and even, with a strong emphasis on design.  It has 4 large prime hour numbers, jet black with white markings and hands giving maximum visibility and clarity. Sandblasted stainless steel case and bracelet.  The watch features a Swiss made ETA 2824-2 automatic, screw down crown and case back, 10 ATM water resistance, high quality stitched leather strap and signed buckle, stop seconds for accurate time setting, sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating, presentation box.  Width is 40 mm at widest excluding crown and 43 mm including crown, Lug to lug is 45 mm, Thickness is 12 mm.  Ref SIN 39a Price £625

The watch features a Swiss made ETA 2824-2 automatic, screw down crown and case back, 10 ATM water resistance, black steel bracelet manufactured under the same process as the case, hack seconds, sapphire crystal, presentation box. This is a brand new watch from Sinn, and is one of the most innovative and exciting new releases this year due to the special features of the movement.  The Sinn 756 UTC DIAPAL is chronograph with a completely lubricant free escapement, which is a world first.  Every wristwatch requires a service every few years as the escapement wheels and pallets need lubricating to avoid friction.  Sinn used the technological innovations of the space program to develop a lubrication free escapement called DIAPAL, which is a reference to the friction reducing technique of replacing the ruby pallet stones with diamonds, hence the name DIAmond PALlets.  The diamond pallets are then fitted to the traditional movements, in this case the Valjoux 7750, so you have the tried and tested Valjoux 7750, which is the world standard for automatic chronographs, which has been modified with space age technology to make it friction free.  This is a technology which has been years in the making at the Sinn labs.  In addition to the movement The cases are treated with “Tegiment” process.  This is the process where the ice-hardened outer layer of special anti-corrosive stainless steel is hardened to 1,200 Vickers which is four times harder than nickeliferous high grade stainless steel used in other high quality stainless steel watches.  This steel process is rarely found in watches, but is more often found in surgical instruments, and aerospace and aviation. The bracelet is treated in the same process to give it equal strength to the case.  Has a sapphire crystal, screw down crown and is water resistant to 20 ATM.  The dial is anthracite in colour with black sub dials and is an attractive and striking looking watch.  The UTC hand is a dual time indicator and is independently set of the main hands and points to a second time zone.  If you do not want a second time zone showing, the hand can be set to move in synchronization with the hour hand and it fits behind it perfectly so it will never be seen. Width is 40 mm excluding crown and 45 mm including crown Lug to lug is 47 mm, Thickness is 14 mm.   Ref SIN 26 Price £1,595

This is a brand new model from which is the popular 756 chronograph in a new slick looking black case.  Apart from being a completely unique watch, designed like not other watch past and present, new materials and new technologies take these models to another level of design and robustness.  The cases are treated with “Tegiment” process. The black model, is sandblasted and black tegiment coated to create the mat black clean looking and very striking appearance.  The bracelet is treated in the same process to give it equal strength to the case.  The new patented crown and pusher system of the 756 was designed to prohibit any moisture building in the case. The pusher seals sit one behind one another and are lubricated by a self-lubrication system which almost makes the case impenetrable by water or moisture. The case has a copper sulphate capsule which when reacts with moisture and diffuses the humidity and therefore protecting the glass from condensation clouding. Width is 40 mm excluding crown and 45 mm including crown Lug to lug is 47 mm, Thickness is 14 mm.  Ref SIN 25 Price £1,275

The models 756 and 756 UTC are much more than the Chronograph variants of the pilot watch 656. Sinn 756 Series - The Duochronograph with Cutting Edge Technology The dial design of the new line of 756 models clearly shows the close relationship to the 656 Pilot's Watch, which offers perfect readability and was developed on the basis of Sinn's instrument panel chronographs. The 756 and 756 UTC models, however, are much more than just chronograph versions of the 656 Pilot's Watch. New materials and new technologies place these models on a level of ruggedness and resistance to external influences that goes way beyond the usual standards. It begins with the use of a stainless steel alloy that contains no nickel for the case. In addition, the stainless steel is subjected to distortion-free ice tempering to achieve a hardness of 60 HRC (Rockwell) or 710 HV. This is equivalent to a hardness level that is three to four times that of normal stainless steel containing nickel. Another completely new feature is the patented crown and button system incorporated in the 756 series. The crown and buttons are provided with double seals made of material used in vacuum technology and chemical engineering to prevent moisture entering the watch case. The seals are extremely resistant to virtually all known chemicals and are provided with lifetime lubrication for additional protection. The crystal seals are also designed for the same purpose and they too are made of a new material that features excellent chemical resistance and is particularly resistant to UV radiation. Any moisture that now enters the watch case can safely be dealt with by Sinn's dehumidifier technology. In the 756 model, this consists of a humidifier capsule filled with copper sulphate. In discreet black on black, the models of the 756 line display the stylised magnetic field lines around a magnetic core at "nine o'clock". This symbolises magnetic field protection to 80,000 A/m or 100 mT (millitesla), or 1,000 gauss. The 756 chronograph is powered by a tried and tested, high-precision Swiss movement (Valjoux 7750). The high-contrast dial ensures excellent readability of both the time and the chronograph indications of seconds, minutes and hours - beneath a sapphire crystal, incidentally, that is anti-reflective on both sides to provide a clear view even under the most unfavourable light conditions. In addition to these features, the Model 756 UTC also has a second time zone, which is identified by a centre hand edged in yellow.  This hand can e hidden under the main hour hand if you don't wish it to point to a second time zone.  Sapphire crystal, screw down crown and 20 ATM water resistant. Sinn Flieger 856 Automatic Wristwatch.  Just like the 656, and the 756, it is rare today do you see designs appearing that are totally unique and instantly recognisable.  This watch has it all.  A simple design, with 4 large prime hour numbers, jet black with white markings and hands gloving maximum visibility and clarity.  The Sinn 856 uses the same "Tegiment" technology as the Sinn 756 model. The black model, is sandblasted and black tegiment coated to create the mat black clean looking and very striking appearance.
