Pilot Military chronograph. Tutima began life in the Glashutte region of Germany
in 1845. From the outset they have been producing high quality and innovative
wristwatches, and have in more recent years had a close association with the
military. In 1941 they were making wristwatches for the German pilots.
The watches were well known for their durability, accuracy and

All models in the new Grand Classic collection bear the traditional coin-edge bezel, red marker and pilot hands from the Classic Flieger Chronograph. This is a trademark symbol of Tutima watches and something that makes a Tutima instantly recognisable. Additionally, this new collection will feature a large Tutima “T 1927’” logo etched on the exhibition crystal back and special anniversary engraving on the case back. Valeo comes from the Latin and means to be strong or influential,
something which aptly sums up
the new Valeo Reserve. The

Brand new and unworn, Tutima F2. This is the automatic version of the outstanding hand wound re-edition of the 1941 Pilot watch. The past has produced classics from the world of industrial design and also horological classics that have made history and can thus legitimately be described as perfect accomplishments. One of these is the Tutima Chronograph of 1941, whose history merits closer examination. During the war time period, pilots required reliable, robust and legible timepieces. Tutima was one of the few companies who were able to manufacture such watches and this is the watch that set the standard for pilots chronograph watches. The original watches today are rare collectors classics, but in a homage to this, Tutima have re-created this classic pilots watch. Of course it is made to the modern specifications and standards, using modern techniques and materials demanded by today’s high standards. It is an authentic re-edition of the original, and since time consists of endless recurring cycles, this prime example of 20th century technical progress cried out for renaissance. It seemed only logical that this had to take place at Tutima itself and nowhere else, to ensure that the original in fact remained and original. The movement is a Swiss made 25 jewel Valjoux 7750. Tutima Pilot Chronograph in Titanium

This Tutima Pilot chronograph in Titanium is one of the watches that are used by the present day German and Nato military forces. It was adopted by the armed forces for issue to pilots, officers and special forces. The reasons were not only for the reliability, durability and robustness, but also the unique design of the control buttons for the chronograph functions. Instead of the usual protruding buttons, they used large spaced push buttons integrated into the case. This feature facilitated operation, particularly when wearing gloves, as well as reducing protruding parts that could interfere or cause injury to the wearer. The buttons however did not affect the 10 ATM water resistance of the watch. It uses the tried and tested Lemania 5100 automatic movement. The 5100 has passed countless endurance tests with flying colours. Its robustness, reliability and precision under even the toughest of conditions is partly due to the refinement and evolution of it as well as the number of moving parts being kept to a bare minimum without impairing the functions. The watch is designed as an instrument and provides instant legibility as it has a sharply contrasting dial. The sixty minute elapsed timer is one of the large centre hands, with the red t-bar tip, which provides very good legibility for elapsed timing without having to look in the smaller sub dials. Has a 24 hour indicator at the 12 position, twelve hour elapsed timer at the 6 position, and sixty second elapsed timer is the large red sweep centre second hand. The subsidiary seconds is at the 9 position and day and date at the 3 position. The crystal is sapphire with anti reflective coating. Outstanding and much under rated Tutima Einsatzuhr mission timer for task forces automatic chronograph. For the watch enthusiast, they will recognise that the Tutima shares very similar design concepts with the discontinued Sinn EZM1. This is designed as a practical and functional watch to be worn by special task force military personnel, as their mission timer. Absolutely all of the un necessary functions have been stripped out of the watch to provide a watch with the time and a twelve hour chronograph. The one hour elapsed timer is the red arrow tipped hand and the centrals weeping red hand as the sixty second elapsed timer. The sub dial at the 6 position is the twelve hour elapsed timer. Like the military chronograph, the Mission Timer also has a unique design of the control buttons for the chronograph functions.
