Used but immaculate condition and brand new looking, Anonimo Chronoscopio SE Limited edition which comes on steel bracelet and leather strap. The SE is the abbreviation for Summer Edition as it is a bright and clean version of the regular Chronoscopio. Now sold out, this was made in a very small limited edition of only 150 pieces and this one is 140/150. Anonimo was founded ten years ago in Italy, by the aforementioned Florentine designer and businessman. His vision was to create a company specialising in the production of unique and high quality Italian watches and remaining true to Florentine watch making form and tradition. That vision has catapulted Anonimo to become the most important Italian company making high quality, unique and stylish wristwatches. This was success was perpetuated by Panerai, an existing Florentine company, being purchased by the Richemont Group. After this acquisition, Panerai uprooted and left Florence leaving an elite and established team of veteran watchmakers wishing to continue their watch making tradition in Florence. This wealth of expertise and skills of former Panerai staff joined forces with Federico to form the cornerstone on which Anonimo’s success has been built. This one is the Chronoscopio Summer Edition is a hand wound wristwatch. It is an attractive, stylish and distinctive looking watch. The movement is a 17 jewel Valjoux 7760 which operates at 38,800 bph. The hand wound watch has been made to satisfy the enthusiasts of classical and original timepieces who appreciate the aesthetics and the daily interaction with the hand winding mechanism. The hand winding ritual each day is an interaction that creates a bond between man and machine. It is something that becomes very personal to the wristwatch enthusiast as it represents a return to traditional values, which are so often disrespected and forgotten in today’s high tech and computer age. Not only does this watch offer a traditional hand wound mechanism, it also appeals to the collector as the movement is decorated with a complex pearl cross section and Geneva stripe finish. The components are rhodium plated with blued screws and has an Anonimo engraved bridge. The movement is modified to Anonimo specifications by their in house technicians in order to give the symmetrical and evenly balanced up/down sub dial arrangement. The chronograph has a twelve hour elapsed time at the 6 position, thirty minute elapsed time at the 12 position and the sixty second elapsed time is the central sweep chronograph hand. It has a day and date at the 3 position. The watch case is sand blasted and satin finished in the highest grade AISI 316 stainless steel which is laser cut to give highly angular and sharp edges. It has an anti reflective scratch resistant sapphire crystal and screw down pushers, but importantly the crown is not screw down – this is so that it does not need to be unscrewed daily when the watch is wound up. It has a water resistance of 12 ATM which is approximately 120 metres. The dial is anti reflective matte enamel black, with blue superluminova luminous filled hands and dial markings which are distinctive and bold – the blue colour also separates the SE form the regular Chronoscopio, as the regular version has white markings and had fill. The strap is patented original Kodiak process leather strap which allows for extended immersion in sea and fresh water. Anonimo engraved on reverse of the brushed steel buckle. Comes with high quality substantial box and all paperwork including unsigned warranty. The watch was originally purchased in 2005 and has since undergone some refurbishment to the case to bring it into brand new looking condition. Mint condition Anonimo Wayfarer II Drass automatic GMT power reserve wristwatch. The watch is 3 years old and originally cost £2,400 (US $3,840). Anonimo was founded in Florence, Italy in 1997 by Florentine designer and businessman, Federico Massacesi. His vision was to create a company specialising in the production of unique and high quality Italian watches and remaining true to Florentine watch making form and tradition. It retains the classic Anonimo shape design. The finish is a Drass finish which is a development on the original Oxpro – an Anonimo black coating innovation. The Drass version is basically an Oxpro finish which has undergone successive sandblastings. This renders the finish more resistant than Oxpro and produces the almost Titanium looking attractive grey finish. There were only two watches with this finish obtained by the UK distribution, one was sold here in the UK and the other the Anonimo retailer in Vienna (which falls under the UK distribution, so there was only one of the Wayfarer II Drass watches in the UK market and this is one it. The dial is an off black colour which is a good match against the case. It has a GMT function in very large print at the 12 position, this is very legible as a lot of GMT functions in sub dials are very small. There is also a power reserve indicator at the 6 position. The date is magnified and is at the 3 position. The crystal is a scratch resistant sapphire and it has a steel screw on case back. The watch is water resistant to 20 ATM. It comes on a brown Anonimo leather strap along with an unused black Anonimo leather strap. The straps cost around £100 each. It is used but appears to be almost unworn and in 97% condition. It is difficult to see it has been used at all. The case is solid and sturdy stainless steel which is thick and substantial. The back is solid steel and is a screw on case back. It has a screw down crown giving a water resistance of 10 ATM which is approximately 100 metres. It has a raised sapphire crystal and shortened elliptical pushers so as not to interfere with the design of the case. The bracelet is also solid and sturdy and perfectly matches the case. The clasp as the Anonimo logo and it has a fliplock safety buckle. The dial is brushed silver steel with machined sub dials which give a slightly different silver finish to the brushed dial. It has a combination of numerals and batons, which are large, bevelled and applied. Has an aperture in the dial at the 12 position, displaying the date. This has a small magnifying lens which is under the dial. The movement is an automatic Dubois-Depraz chronograph module. This is not a PVD, where PVD easily peels off and wears out. OX-PRO is an oxidation process on surface of the steel. It was produced for military purposes and modifies the surface molecules causing them to change colour. However it can be scratched, if scratched hard enough. The process was developed by another famous Florentine manufacturer for use with military instruments such as optical tools and knives which are supplied to the Italian Navy Divers and Air born soldiers. Testing has shown that with continuous use, wear and tear does not affect the finish and the colour remains constant. It is able to be exposed to impacts in work, training, exercise and sport. This one is the Militaire Automatico in black finish case. The movement is an automatic winding caliber Anonimo 031.1 modified movement which is based on an ETA – Valjoux 7750 13 ½ 25 jewel movement with colimassone finish. It features hours, minutes and sub seconds counter at the 12 position with date at the 6 position – the feature layout gained from the ETA - Valjoux 7750. The watch case is sand blasted and satinised highest grade AISI 316 stainless steel which is laser cut to give highly angular and sharp edges. The surface is OX-PRO treated. This is not a PVD, where PVD easily peels off and wears out. OX-PRO is an oxidation process on surface of the steel. It was produced for military purposes and modifies the surface molecules causing them to change colour. The process was developed by another famous Florentine manufacturer for use with military instruments such as optical tools and knives which are supplied to the Italian Navy Divers and Air born soldiers. Testing has shown that with continuous use, wear and tear does not affect the finish and the colour remains constant. It is able to be exposed to impacts in work, training, exercise and sport. The bezel is screw locked as well as the exhibition back. Scratch resistant sapphire crystal and patented crown locking device which is integrated into the watch strap and protects the crown. To adjust the time, this device between the lower lugs pops open to expose the crown, and locks back into place to lock the crown into place for water resistance and security. This allows a water resistance of 12 ATM which is approximately 120 metres. The dial is mat black, military looking with white and red markings and super luminova luminosity, with magnified date at 6. Water resistant strap with Dinex fabric and soft leather like Lorica lining making a very comfortable wear. Comes with high quality substantial box and all paperwork.
