Thre is speculation within the industry that next year the price is going to be £6,600. The Navitimer is a Breitling classic, it was first introduced in 1952, the Navitimer provided pilots and air crews with a highly innovative chronograph design. For the first time, a watch featured a "navigation computer" capable of executing every calculation a flight plan requires. These include: multiplication, division, calculating ground speed, calculating miles per hour, calculating miles per minute, calculating fuel consumption, calculating rate of climb or descent, calculating the distance of climb or descent and nautical and statute mile conversion. This is a true professional instrument watch that has been adapted to today's even more strenuous requirements. Classic design with black dial and white sub dials and black rehaut opposed to the usual white, making this one just that little bit different from the crowd. It has a date and is all stainless steel case and bracelet with original black signed Breitling strap bracelet with folding clasp and fliplock safety clasp. Used but mint condition absolutely stunning looking Breitling Professional Skyracer automatic pilots chronograph watch A2736234-G6-140A. The UK retail price is £4,190 (US $6,800). It was originally purchased from authorised Breitling retailers, George Banks in Preston, England in 2009. The story of Breitling watches begins when Léon Breitling first opened a workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1884, making pocket watches and chronograph watch designs. His son, Gaston, initiated the production of Breitling watches in 1914 for the military in the First World War. Breitling timepieces have been associated with flying since 1936, when Willy Breitling (Leon's grandson) launched a chronometer for instrument panels in aircraft cockpits. In 1952 the Navimeter, a super chronograph watch designed especially for pilots was produced, as was well received by both pilots and watch aficionados. In 1970 Breitling introduced the Breitling GMT, a the first chronograph with two hour hands (one for 12 hour system, one for 24 hours system). Stainless steel case in polished finish with a polished stainless steel bracelet. Bi-directional rotating steel bezel which is not ratcheted but is frictional and a slight ratchet to it, the bezel is a countdown bezel. It has got a silver dial in a radial gillouche pattern with luminous hands and stick hour markers. Luminiscent hands and dial markers. Date display at 6 o'clock position. The chronograph is a clever design which incorporates all of the features of a full chronograph but is a discreet two register design. One sub dial displaying 60 seconds which is associated with the time and not the chronograph, the sub dial at the 9 position is a and a dual function 60 minutes / 12 hours sub-dial with two separate hands. It has got a red arrow tipped central sixty minute chronograph hand and a regular 60 second central sweep chronograph hand. The movement is a Swiss made self winding automatic movement. Scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Screw locked crown. Stainless steel case back. Deployment clasp. It has got a screw down crown and large square pushers. The bracelet is the pilot style with folding clasp and fliplock safety buckle. Water resistant at 200 meters / 660 feet. It comes complete with all boxes and papers with chronometer certificate and completed warranty card, instruction booklet, hang tag, bezel protector and all of the bracelet links . Good condition Breitling automatic chronograph in steel. The watch is an officially certified chronometer. Breitling have long been associated with aviation and navigational/flight instrument watches. Their watches are the choice of navigators and pilots alike around the world. This is in the Chronomat family of Breitling watches and is normally very popular and one of Breitling’s best selling models. The case is made from stainless steel with a polished finish. The bezel is a sturdy uni directional ratcheted bezel with silver raised rider tabs on the primary number points for easy gripping of the bezel when rotating it and steel screws. It has a steel screw down crown and steel pushers. These are machined for easy grip as well as looking good. The dial is matte black . The watch has sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating and comes on a the original blue Breitling leather strap with the original steel Breitling signed pin buckle. It has got a 12 hour chronograph with the thirty minute elapsed timer at the 12 position, the twelve hour elapsed timer at the 6 position, the sub seconds for the time at the 9 position and the central sweep hand is the sixty minute elapsed timer. It has a date at the 3 position. Clean looking dial with bold numbers and discreetly placed tachometer scale on a tiered internal fixed bezel. It is marked up as 100 metre water resistant, but this is not tested. Large and substantial heavily built watch. has some smear to the anti reflective coating which could be polished off or recoated as desired. movements wrapped in oil cloth. The movements were old but unused and
not refurbished. They decided to service each movement and put them into
a limited edition series of calendars and chronographs. The case is
fashioned from solid 18 karat rose gold, with solid case back. It is
made in the style of one of the original Breitling designs from the
early 1960’s, this one to quite large proportions. This
is one of two chronograph styles and has flat straight lugs with a
slightly larger size case. It has the look and feel of a genuine vintage
Breitling form the early 1960’s but with newly made immaculate dial
and case with Breitling refurbished movement. The watch is fully
functioning chronograph with 30 minute elapsed timer, central sweep
sixty second chronograph hand, hour, minute and sub second hand. It has
an acrylic crystal in keeping with the original watch of this period. It
is a very small limited edition and only 20 pieces were made of this
particular model making it a very rare watch, and rarer than the other
two in this series. It was originally purchased as a part of a
collection about 10 years ago and as such has never once been worn, it
has been a in a safe and the strap has no marks, the case or crystal has
no marks as it is one hundred percent new old stock. It comes on the

Excellent condition and always popular Breitling automatic divers watch which a professionally rated divers watch. The Super Ocean has always been one of Breitling’s most popular watches and this is the most popular black dial version with brushed steel case which is a lovely combination and distinctive looking. Compared to the rest of the range of Breitling watches, this one is a decent value for money watch. This especially so given that it is also classed as a professional instrument with it’s 300 metre depth rating. It is hard wearing and feels heavy and substantial. Thick polished steel case with scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a screw down crown. Has bright luminous dial markings and hands against a matte black dial, and a date at the 3 position. Has a sturdy uni directional ratchet operated rotating bezel with riders at the primary number positions. Attractive looking watch and substantial watch, though not an over sized large watch. Mint condition Breitling World Time. The Breitling
story begins in 1884, when Leon Breitling - just 24 years of age -
founded the company in St. Imier, Switzerland. Breitling's goal was
simple: to manufacture high-quality technical watches. As his business
expanded, the young watchmaker moved the factory to the Swiss village of
Grenchen and began specialising in chronographs. Like many Swiss watch
companies, Breitling was hit hard by the quartz revolution, and in 1979,
former pilot Ernest Schneider was hired as its new CEO. Schneider
cleverly conducted a public relations campaign designed to influence
people's attitudes about the bulky, oversized watch. The campaign was a
huge success, coming as it did on the heels of a renewed interest in
wearing mechanical wristwatches. By the late 1980's, the Breitling
wristwatch, with its large case and distinctive bezel, was a
recognizable status symbol all over the world and widely copied by other
companies, making the "Breitling look" even more fashionable.
This is quite a rare watch and mostly made in stainless steel or steel
with gold bezel. This one is
made in solid 18k gold making it quite rare. It is a 4 independent time
zone watch contain 4 separate quartz movements and a date at the 6
position. There are 4 independent crowns for setting the time. The
crowns are tricky to operate at the 12 and 6 position, so the entire
watch is made in a 2 tier case, which is rotating so the top part of the
case can spin around. This is well engineered and snugly fitting. The
case is released by pressing the centre of the case back to lift it on a
springy mechanism allowing it to be rotated. The case is chunky and
heavy weighing in at 80 grams. Allowing for 15 grams for the quartz
movements and the crystal, the gold content is around £1,750. It comes
on a genuine dark green Breitling strap with 18 karat gold deployant
clasp. The clasp alone retails at £1,600 from Breitling. No box or
papers but guaranteed one hundred percent authentic genuine. Dimensions

Premier Chronograph – 18k Rose Gold

Excellent condition Breitling premier manual winding chronograph in 18 karat rose gold. This is a very rare Breitling Premier model reference 777 and the approximate year of manufacture is 1945. This is a beautiful watch, very rare and hard to find, and in wonderful condition. There is some patina to the dial with age as can be expected, but nothing to detract from the character, but adds to the warmth and charisma of this watch. It is large in size and has a dress feel to it, but has technical timing functions. The dial is silver with large numerals and hands which were at one stage silver. The dial has now faded with age so no longer looks silver, but more of a yellow gold colour. The case is thick and heavy with a decent gold content to it, and unusually for this period it has got a screw on case back. The screw on case back was originally for water resistance. The screw on case back made the watch thicker and mode substantial which is what gives it is decent heavy weight. It has a tachometric scale on outer chapter and telemeter sixty second track on inner chapter. Has a wonderful Breitling logo, which instead of just the name Breitling is in the official Italic logo which is found on Breitling advertising, papers and boxes. It has elongated pushers which appear to be replacements but are perfectly functioning. The crown is a replacement which is a good fit. Original parts for these watches can still be sourced if somebody wants to bringing it back to its all original condition. The movement is an unsigned Venus 175 and is in perfect working condition, keeping good time with all chronograph functions working perfectly. It comes on a good quality Hirsch brown leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. The watch and chronograph functions are in perfect working order. Triple Calendar Hand Winding Wristwatch

Excellent and original condition Breitling triple calendar hand winding wristwatch. This is a rarely seen Breitling watch and one for the Breitling collector. The Breitling company needs little introduction as they are one of the worlds largest watch manufacturers primarily making aviation type watches in large quantities for the mass consumer market. They had humble origins in Switzerland and at the time this watch was produced Breitling were still a small company. They may have been small but their focus was large as they made high quality wristwatches that were both functional and stylish. They were also built to last as well. As they were a small company, the watches that they produced in the 1950’s and 1960’s are not commonly seen until the Navitimer appeared which then became their flagship model and launched them towards world success. The non Navitimer also became very collectible due to the manufacturing of them in smaller quantities. This one is a triple calendar wristwatch. It was made during the late 1950’s to early 1960’s. it is a regular looking watch which is gold plated with a steel case back. The watch had the additional functions of the triple calendar. This being the date indicated by the red crescent tipped hand, the day in the upper centre left aperture and the month in the upper centre right aperture, above which is the famous Breitling signature. The calendar is in German, this is a logical language and easy to translate to English. The watch has regular hour and minute hand with the sub seconds in the sub dial at the 6 position. It has got a 17 jewel Breitling signed movement, where it is signed to the bridge and ratchet wheel. Clean looking smoothly running watch and all functions work correctly. The dial is nice and clean in original un restored condition with some fading as one would expect of a watch of this age. A very nice Breitling collectors watch. Excellent condition Breitling Navitimer Aerospace analogue and digital wristwatch. This is one is the Repetition Minutes model which can be set to sound an alarm signal at minute small intervals. The watch is built in titanium. It is a simple watch to use and all of the functions are carried out by the use of the crown. It has a wide range of functions including minute repeater (audible indication of the hour and minute), chronograph, alarm, independent timer, second time zone, date and day of the week. It’s large LCD digital read out and oversized hands keep the Aerospace perfectly and instantly legible under all circumstances. The case is made of titanium and the bracelet is titanium with gold secondary links. It is both lightweight, rugged and impervious to corrosion and non conductive allergies. The crystal is sapphire with an anti reflective coating and is unmarked. It has the popular dial colour which is the matte deep blue, this goes well with the titanium. Mint condition Breitling automatic chronograph in steel with 18 karat gold bezel. The watch is also an officially certified chronometer. Breitling have long been associated with aviation and navigational/flight instrument watches. Their watches are the choice of navigators and pilots alike around the world. This is in the Chronomat family of Breitling watches and is normally very popular and one of Breitling’s best selling models. The case is made from stainless steel with a polished finish. The bezel is 3 mm thick 18 karat gold with silver raised rider tabs on the primary number points for easy gripping of the bezel when rotating it and steel screws. It has a steel screw down crown and steel pushers. These are machined for easy grip as well as looking good. The dial is polished blue steel with gold hands, gold accents and gold hour markers. The watch has sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating and comes on a replacement leather strap but with the original steel Breitling sighed pin buckle. It has got a 12 hour chronograph with the thirty minute elapsed timer at the 12 position, the twelve hour elapsed timer at the 6 position, the sub seconds for the time at the 9 position and the central sweep hand is the sixty minute elapsed timer. It has a date at the 3 position. Clean looking dial with bold numbers and discreetly placed tachometer scale on a tiered internal fixed bezel. It is marked up as 100 metre water resistant, but this is not tested. Large and substantial heavily built watch. This is an attractive yet functional and professional aviators watch. Mint and new looking condition Breitling Super Ocean Steelfish automatic 2000 metres water resistant divers watch. It is a nice looking watch and in blemish free condition, and seen hardly any use during its life. This one is a handsome looking variant of the Steelfish with its blue dial and blue leather strap making a lovely colour combination against the steel case and polished steel hands and dial markings. Excellent condition Breitling Navitimer Aerospace analogue and digital wristwatch. This is one of the original early model Navitimer Aerospace. The watch is built in titanium with gold links and bezel riders. It is a simple watch to use and all of the functions are carried out by the use of the crown. It has a wide range of functions including minute repeater (audible indication of the hour and minute), chronograph, alarm, timer, second time zone, date and day of the week. It’s large LCD digital read out and oversized hands keep the Aerospace perfectly and instantly legible under all circumstances. The case is made of titanium and the bracelet is titanium with gold secondary links. It is both lightweight, rugged and impervious to corrosion and non conductive allergies. The crystal is sapphire with an anti reflective coating and is unmarked. It has the popular dial colour which is the matte black, this goes well with the titanium. The Navitimer Montbrilliant Datora is similar to the original Navitimer, but incorporates the additional and useful calendar functionality. It also features additional dial data breaking the minute recording up into 100th parts so a minute can be quickly calculated into fractions. It is also slightly larger in size at 43 mm. Chrono Matic – Very Rare Model Reference 7651

Mint condition Breitling Navitimer Chrono Matic reference 7651 with very rare patent pending from 1967 marking on case back with Breitling calibre 112 automatic movement which is in excellent condition. it recently went to Breitling UK to have a new bezel and crystal fitted, at the great expense of almost £400. There is an invoice from Breitling UK for the supply and fitting. This is a hard to come by piece with some historical Breitling importance from 1967. It has a stainless steel screw on case back marked with the model reference, 7651. The case back is also marked "DDE. BR. + 11525/67" which refers to a 1967 patent for the design of the case and bezel with the circular slide rule controlled by a cogged mechanism. This mechanism enables the watch to have some measure of water resistance even though the rotating slide rule scale is beneath the crystal, an area normally inaccessible from the outside of a waterproof watch except for access via the crown and pushers. Interestingly, a similar system with a geared rotating bezel mechanism driving the slide rule was used decades later in the Breitling B-1, B-2 and Bentley models. This geared mechanism can only be felt very slightly when rotating the bezel and it feels more like the usual frictional type bezel. The mechanism also makes the bezel very tight for the water resistance. The watch is all stainless steel, very large and substantial and is a true instrument timepiece. It naturally has the rotating bezel as seen on these Navitimer models, however this one is most unusual as it has got red and white iterations counting down the last fifteen minutes on the bezel scale. Presumably this is to mark out the critical final periods of time when using the bezel to count down. This is a rare and unusual bezel type and seldom seen on Breitling watches. Another unusual feature of this watch is that it has a fifteen minute elapsed timer rather than thirty minute, which is the sub dial at the 3 position. This is much larger than the other sub dial making it more legible. The movement is specifically adapted for this 15 minute elapsed timer to make chronograph readings more legible and clearer. Most unusually with this adaptation, the format is changed so that the fifteen minute hand jumps to the half minute position when the central on minute elapsed time hand passes the thirty position. This makes chronograph readings even more legible and highly accurate. It is an essential function, of any aviator from, pilot, to navigator or flight engineer. Also the elapsed hours sub dial is only up to 6 hours rather than the usual 12 hours. The six hour elapsed timer is a far more practical and shorter period for timing events and flight times. As it is only up to 6 hours, the sub dial is far more legible than a 12 hour sub dial as the numbers are bigger and the position of the hand much clearer. This sub dial is divided into 15 minute increments, and the hour hand jumps sharply over to the 15 minute mark once the 15 minute elapsed timer dial has reached the 15 minute mark. This is also another unusual feature since on a 12 hour elapsed timer, the 12 hour hand moves slowly like a regular hour hand and does not jump such as on this one. The movement, whilst it has this adaptation is of no problem to any watchmaker servicing the watch. The 60 second elapsed timer is the large sweep second chronograph hand. Lovely contrasting colours on the dial with the main part being mat black, the outer chapter in silver and red, with silver sub dials. The chronograph hands are in bright orange and black for the 6 hour elapsed timer. There is the date window at the 6 position and the winding crown is conveniently located at the 9 position so as not to interfere with the chronograph operations. Mint condition vintage and highly collectible Breitling Navitimer model 806 with highly regarded and venerable hand wound Swiss made Venus calibre 178 movement. The watch is working perfectly and all functions work correctly. The dial and hands are in immaculate condition for the age of the watch and are original to the watch, they are not restored or later replacements. Better examples of this watch in this condition are difficult to find. This is the classic Navitimer originally produced in the 1950's and this one dates to the mid to late 60’s. The watch is all stainless steel, large and substantial and is a true instrument timepiece. It naturally has the rotating slide rule intended to help pilots to calculate flight plans, navigate and perform other flight or mathematical related calculations. The chronograph functions are distinguished from the timekeeping functions, as the hands are cleaner than the dial so it is possible that they could be replacements, though they are genuine Breitling. The 60 second elapsed timer is the large sweep second chronograph hand, the thirty minute elapsed timer is at the 3 position and the twelve hour elapsed timer is at the 6 position. The subsidiary seconds are at 9. Lovely contrasting colours on the dial with the main part being mat black, the outer chapter in silver, with silver sub dials. The hands are luminous filled, and luminous material is still in good condition. It comes on a replacement strap but has a genuine Breitling pin buckle, which is off a modern Breitling Navitimer. Mint and hardly used looking condition Breitling Navitimer Aviastar chronograph. The Aviastar is now a very collectible and desirable Breitling pilot’s watch, and is regarded as a cult classic amongst Breitling collectors. It has had a complete service and overhaul in 2007 at Breitling, but the only item to document this is the Breitling Service card – there is no detail of what was carried out in the service. This is shown on a service receipt that comes with the watch. As a result of the overhaul, the watch is in first class and new looking condition and in perfect working order. The Aviastar watches are not very easy to find as people tend to hang on to them. Has an extra thick hardened mineral crystal which has an anti reflective coating, the crystal is unmarked. Beautiful tiered dial with tachometer bezel sloping downwards to a central sunken dial with further sunken sub dials. This gives the dial an appealing three dimensional look to it. Beautiful black and white dial colour scheme. It is bright, crisp and clean dial markings with matching bi directional ratchet operated rotating bezel with 60 minute markings. This is typical of a pilot’s style bezel. Stainless steel case, good dimensions with thick body, and long angular lugs. Date at the 3 position. As expected the watch is working perfectly and the movement is based on a Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph. Unlike many Breitling watches, this one is not over the top, it is more subtle and restrained in the watch design. Long Player Chronograph

Excellent condition Breitling Long Player manual winding vintage chronograph watch, dating from late 1960’s. It has just returned from being serviced where it had a full movement overhaul and is in perfect working condition, keeping excellent time and all chronograph functions are working perfectly, running smoothly and all of the hands snap back to zero instantly and correctly. The Long Player watches, like most other Breitling vintage watches are becoming very collectible. Especially with this movement. The two register Valjoux 7733 versions are easy to come across. But this one is the three register with additional 12 hour function version with the Valjoux 7736. Unlike the 2 register version, this one is a much bigger and substantial watch. It is a very attractive looking watch, plain, simple yet very striking and effective. It has a stainless steel case with silver dial and black sub registers. The dial has lovely contrasting colours with black and silver as well as the silver sweep chronograph hand, against the silver steel applied baton markers and black dial printing. The subsidiary seconds are at 9, the thirty minute elapsed timer is at 3, the twelve hour elapsed timer is at 6 and the sixty second elapsed timer is the sweep second hand. It is a very sporty and retro looking watch in perfect working condition, due to its recent service. Very tidy and neat case, with Breitling signed case back, Breitling signed crown and long and extended two piece pushers. Comes on replacement steel bracelet. Brand new condition and unworn Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute Flyback automatic chronograph, which is also an officially certified Swiss chronometer. It was originally purchased at authorised UK Breitling dealers, Ernest Jones in 2005 but has not been worn and sat in a collector’s watch box. As such it appears to be in immaculate condition which includes the strap which has had no wear to it at all. UK retail price for the replacement Navitimer Cosmonaute is in excess of £4,270. (US £$6,850). The Navitimer was originally introduced in 1952, the Navitimer provided pilots and air crews with a highly innovative chronograph design. For the first time, a watch featured a "navigation computer" capable of executing every calculation a flight plan requires. These include: multiplication, division, calculating ground speed, calculating miles per hour, calculating miles per minute, calculating fuel consumption, calculating rate of climb or descent, calculating the distance of climb or descent and nautical and statute mile conversion. The movement is a Breitling Swiss made 25 jewel calibre 22 which is a true 24 hour dial where the hour hand rotates the dial every 24 hours opposed to 12 hours on a conventional watch. Mint condition six months old Breitling Bentley Motors automatic chronograph. It was purchased form UK authorised dealers in June 2009 so just 4 months old when taken into stock. The Bentley Motors chronograph cultivates originality, but permeated by an eminently British sense of refinement and moderation. The gaze is immediately struck by the knurled finishing on the bezel, inspired by the Bentley control buttons. The case is distinguished by its imposing diameter. Breitling has combined this original design with an exclusive technical touch. The Bentley Motors chronograph features a unique mechanism known as the “30-second” type chronograph. The centre hand sweeps once around the dial in half a minute instead of the customary 60 seconds, an astonishing configuration that enables extremely accurate read-off to within 1/8th of a second. This distinctive feature is part of Calibre 25B, a movement stemming from the Breitling Chronométrie workshops and which is officially chronometer-certified, as indeed are all Breitling movements. Absolutely mint and looks new condition Breitling Chrono-Matic Calibre 11 automatic winding chronograph. The watch dates to the late 1960’s to early 1970’s. This watch was in it’s day as valued and highly regarded as Breitling watches are today. They are renowned for their strong and durable build quality, their innovative designs, their good looks and they are well known for their long association for timekeeping in the aviation industry. This watch is no exception. It is a handsome and strong watch with practical features. The dial is beautiful and a perfectly balanced combination of timekeeping and chronograph functions, keeping the un necessary clutter found on the "wannabe" watches to an absolute minimum – essential when used for professional or aviation purposes. The dial is a two register chronograph, which is unusual to find in an automatic as most automatics have three sub registers. Vintage, rare and very collectible Breitling 765 Co-Pilot watch with hand wound movement. The watch is working perfectly and all functions work correctly, and just come back from full service and movement overhaul. This is a classic Breitling pilot watch and is referred to as the 765 Co-Pilot, originally produced in the 1950's and this one dates to the mid to late 60’s. The watch is all stainless steel, very large and substantial and is a true instrument timepiece. It naturally has the rotating bezel which is an aviators count down bezel with sixty minute increments. The final fifteen minutes are iterated in clear five minute increments and numbered 5 down to 1 three times in three separate colour coded sections. These being red, silver and blue. It has a beautiful dial in outstanding condition, which is mat black, long baton markings and very distinctive silver sub dials in a tri compax sub dial configuration. The 60 second elapsed timer is the large sweep second chronograph hand, the fifteen minute elapsed timer is at the 3 position and the twelve hour elapsed timer is at the 6 position. The subsidiary seconds are at 9. This one is slightly unusual as it has a fifteen minute elapsed timer rather than thirty minute. The movement is specifically adapted for this to make chronograph readings more legible and clearer. Most unusually with this adaption, the format cis changed so that the fifteen minute hand jumps to the half minute position when the central on minute elapsed time hand passes the thirty position. This makes chronograph readings even more legible and highly accurate. It is an essential function, of any aviator from, pilot, to navigator or flight engineer. The movement whilst it has this adaption is of no problem to any watchmaker servicing the watch and it was serviced with the ease of any other hand winding chronograph prior to advertising it. The movement is hand winding Swiss made Venus 178, which is also used in the Breitling Navitimer amongst other decent quality watches. Lovely well laid out and symmetrical dial design. The discreet stealth styled Breitling Blackbird owes it’s name and looks to the US high altitude reconnaissance aircraft built largely of titanium alloy that has set practically every known speed and altitude record. This watch sets to emulate this by having a titanium appearance the way iyt is matte finished, but retains the heaviness and substantial feel as it is still made of the more popular stainless steel. Breitling Navitimer Jupiter Pilot quartz chronograph with Breitling
calibre B 233 movement. The
Jupiter Pilot is fast becoming a collectors classic. It is an
outstanding watch, packed with features, and very technical highly
functional watch. It comes with the original paperwork including the
authorised dealers card, international warranty booklet indicating that
the watch was bought The Channel Island of Jersey in 1997.
Also all importantly it comes with the instruction booklet –
without this, it is pretty hard to work out how all the functions work.
It is an all stainless steel case, with sapphire crystal on the
original Breitling bracelet with signed clasp. The bracelet has a
fliplock safety buckle and flight suit extension clasp.
It is a large stainless steel case and bracelet with deep blue
dial The functions include chronograph, alarm, date, time and a slide
rule. The chronograph has a
12 hour, 60 minute, 60 second and 100th second elapsed timers.
Clever chip technology allows the dials and hands to double up
for multiple functions – for instance when setting the alarm, the hand
on the 100th second sub dial is used to set the alarm activation time,
then it returns to carry out it’s regular task.
The same is for the second hand.
When the chronograph is activated, this hand is used as the 60
second elapsed timer. When
the chronograph is finished with, the hand jumps to the exact position
it should be in as if the chronograph had never been used, not loosing
any time. The slide rule can
be sued for a plethora of functions including multiplication, division,
calculating ground speed, calculating miles per minute, calculating fuel
consumption, calculating rate of descent or climb, calculating distance
of decent or climb, calculating nautical and statute mile conversion.
These are all useful if you are navigating or calculating flight
plans. Exceptional watch.

Excellent condition Breitling Top Time manual winding chronograph. This is an lovely looking Breitling in stainless steel. Has Breitling signed movement, dial and case back. It is very retro looking in its square case with short lugs. This style of watch is very much in vogue at present with the huge resurgence in interest of the Heuer Monaco et al watches. It has attractive and lovely contrasting dial colours and an eye catching attractive dial design and case design. The watch has a distinctly sporty feel to it with its silver dial and black sub dials and functions such as the chronograph and the tachometric scale. The subsidiary seconds are at 9, the forty five minute elapsed timer is at the 3 position and the 60 second chronograph hand is the sweep second hand. Has a nice finishing touch with a brushed radial pattern, which appears to be the original finish and unpolished. Overall a beautiful watch with clean movement and watch and the chronograph are in perfect working orders. Mint condition and excellent very sought after Breitling Sprint manual winding chronograph. This watch was in it’s day as valued and highly regarded as Breitling watches are today. They are renowned for their strong and durable build quality, their innovative designs, their good looks and they are well known for their long association for timekeeping in the aviation industry. Used but mint condition Breitling Emergency that is four years old. It is a titanium case and bracelet with black dial with digital displays on the analogue dial. The dial is black. It has got a rotating compass scale bezel and functions other than the time include 1/100th second 24 hour chronograph, count down timer, day and date programmed for 4 years, alarm, second time zone and of course the radio distress beacon. The movement is a Swiss made SuperQuartz thermocompensated quartz electronic analogue and 12/24 hour LCD digital display. It has got a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating on both sides and is water resistant to 3 ATM including with the transmitter in operation. The Breitling Emergency contains a radio transmitter for civil aviation use which broadcasts on the 121.5 MHz distress frequency and serves as a back-up for ELT-type airborne beacons. (For military users, Breitling has equipped the Emergency with a miniaturized transmitter operating on the 243 MHz military frequency.) Under normal conditions—flat terrain or calm seas—the signal can be picked up at a range of up to 90 nautical miles (167 km) by search aircraft flying at 20,000 feet (6,000 m). As of 1 February 2009, the Cospas-Sarsat Satellite System will no longer monitor the 121.5/243 MHz frequency; however, the signal transmitted by the Emergency was never strong enough to be picked up by satellite, and Breitling has announced that, as these frequencies will still be monitored by aviation, particularly during the localization phase of a rescue attempt, there are no plans to modify the signal's frequency. In an incident that demonstrates how the Emergency can be used to save lives, Reuters reports that two British pilots, Squadron Leader Steve Brooks and Flight Lieutenant Hugh Quentin-Smith, crashed their helicopter in Antarctica and were rescued after activating their Breitling Emergency transmitter watches. The two pilots were in their lifeboat when a Chilean Otter aircraft found them after homing in on signals from their watches. The Emergency is available for customers who do not hold a pilot's license, but they must sign an agreement stating that they will bear the full costs of a rescue intervention should they trigger the distress beacon. Excellent condition Breitling Shark automatic diver’s watch. This is now out of production and quite difficult to come across. This is a large, substantial, and heavy wristwatch. It is well made and designed for professional diving purposes. It is 300 metres water resistant, with a screw down crown for added water protection. It has a very sturdy uni directional ratchet operated rotating bezel. The dial is very clean and sharp looking in white. It is minimalist in design, with the barest of dial markings with large primary numbers making for maximum legibility whilst diving. It has tritium luminous dial markings and hands which glows quite brightly. Has a date window at the 3 position. The bracelet is in mint condition, and is a later replacement. The bracelet has the deployment clasp which is signed, a fliplock safety buckle and a divers wet suit extension. There are plenty of links in the bracelet. All stainless steel, thick and chunky watch. It has some light marks to the bezel and some to the crystal. It has a Breitling engraved back, crown, and the “B” logo on the second hand. Overall excellent strong and purposeful watch. Comes in original bakelite box, and like every other Breitling bakelite box, the hinges are broken due to the brittleness of bakelite, outer box, and some papers including a service receipt in 2002 for over £240, serviced at Breitling UK. Virtually brand new only 2 months old when taken in to stock and hardly worn Breitling Blackbird automatic chronograph. This is the new Blackbird recently re-released due tot he popularity of the older Blackbird which was discontinued a few years ago. The appeal of the Blackbird is that it s designed to look like it is made of titanium with its matt brushed steel finish but it is made of stainless steel so that it still has the weight and substance of a large watch. The new model is upgraded over the old model to more modern larger dimensions and it is a large and substantial watch. The Blackbird is named after the US war plane of the same name which is built from titanium. Breitling have long been associated with aviation and navigational/flight instrument watches. Their watches are the choice of navigators and pilots alike around the world. This one is the Breitling Chronomat with a very rare and seldom seen satinised/brushed stainless steel case and bracelet – they are normally highly polished. It is also rare in that it has a charcoal dial, which is a dial colour not often used by Breitling. In addition adding to the rarity value, the dial markings are Arabic type numerals which are polished silver and applied. They normally have Roman numerals or baton markings. The Chronomat is normally a popular watch and is made even more so with this unique collectible iteration. The bracelet is the Breitling pilot’s bracelet with fliplock safety clasp. Excellent condition Colt Automatic divers watch which is also a certified Swiss chronometer. Originally purchased in January 2009 making the watch just 6 months old when taken into stock. This is the entry level priced Breitling, but by no means entry level in terms of quality, finish and construction. This especially so given that it is also classed as a professional instrument with it’s 500 metre or 1,650 feet water resistance. It is also an officially certified Swiss chronometer and comes with the relevant papers to indicate this fact. It is hard wearing and feels heavy and substantial. Thick brushed steel case with sapphire crystal which has an anti reflective coating. It has a screw down crown and helium escape valve. Has bright dial markings and hands against an anthracite black dial, with military style 24 hour markings beneath the primary numerals, and a date at the 3 position. Has a sturdy uni directional ratchet operated rotating bezel with riders at the primary number positions. The Colt II automatic is powered by Breitling's workhorse COSC certified caliber 17 movement @ 28,000 v.p.h (25 jewels). Excellent condition Breitling Chrono Avenger Titanium chronograph. It comes with an original Breitling rubber strap and the watch is just over 1 year old. This is an outstanding looking watch with big proportions with a plethora of functions. It is durable and light in weight as it is made from pure titanium. Advanced quartz function chronograph. Like all Breitling watches, it is made to a high standard and is an officially certified Swiss chronometer. It is rugged and chunky looking and functional watch. It has a sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating, screw down crown with a water pressure resistance to an impressive 1,000 metres or 3,300 feet. To assist with recovering from deep dives, it has a built in decompression valve to prevent pressure damage. Has a good chronograph with 1 hour elapsed time, 1 minute elapsed time, 10th second elapsed time and a 12 hour elapsed time function. The one hour elapsed time hand is a central hand. It is also used as a special 10 minute yachting countdown timer and is set to the 10 position with iterations in blue and red as it counts down the 10 minutes before the yacht race to zero. This can be sued also as a regular 1 hour elapsed timer by adjusting the position to start from zero. Has a date at the 4 position and big bold numerals and hands with super luminova luminescence. The dial also has a sun compass function Has a 10 hour ratchet operated rotating bezel, with bezel rider tabs for easy gripping. Knurled crown and cross pattern pushers also for easy gripping.
