The Glycine Incursore
Incursore is the name of an elite team of Italian divers in world war 2. The Incursore were also trained in the two man short distance submarines, where they would be able to approach enemy vessels undetected and plant explosives on the outside of the enemy vessels. Stunning
new Glycine model to compliment the existing Incursore range in unique and
eye catching half hunter style. This
type of watch is not usually found on a wristwatch, but was more associated
with pocket watches made over 100 years ago.
The full hunter was a full steel cover to protect the glass.
The half hunter had the aperture to protect the glass but the hands
still visible through the aperture. It
has a Unitas ETA 6498-1 hand wound movement operating at 2.5/18'000
vibrations per hour. The movement is nickel coated bridges chess board decorated,
all visible screws hardened blue, ratchet and crown wheel decorated in
"colimaçon" style. The
case is stainless steel and the cover has the hours and indices stamped into
the steel for easy time reading. Has
a glass display back, screw down crown and is water resistant to 10 ATM.
To open the cover, the crown is unscrewed.
Then is depressed such as a button, and the cover which is spring
loaded flops open. The crown is
also used for the hand winding and setting the time, so is a triple function
crown. The watch comes with a spare rubber strap and strap changing
tool. Also available with black
dial and cream dial. Excellent
