Hanhart classic Rally Timer. These devices were originally used to mount to the dashboards of rally cars before the days of electronic timing. It consists of a clock and a stopwatch, which are both independent of each other. The stopwatch has got a flyback mechanism so you can reset it to zero and it starts again immediately without having to re start it. Alternatively it also works the traditional way of start, stopping an resetting 9 and remaining at zero). Comes mounted on base metal chrome plated back plate – the base metal back plate sounds like skimping on costs, but it is to protect the steel cases of the clocks as the base metal is softer and will not damage the clocks taking them in and out. The Primus is an automatic version of the popular “Replika” which was a true hand wound copy of the 1939 pilot watch. This one is also an outstanding quality re-edition of the 1939 Pilot watch, by one the worlds leading manufacturers of industrial and sports timing devices, Hanhart. This is the watch that set the standard for plots chronograph watches. It also comes with a hand finished leather case with Hessian lining. The movement is a Swiss made modified Valjoux 7750 movement which is 25 jewels running at at 28,800 bph and a 42 hour power reserve. Highly visible hands and numerals It is a brushed stainless steel case, has asymmetrical button distances and dual O-ring gaskets on crown and chrono buttons. Fluted non ratchet rotating bezel with luminous positional marker, also luminous dial markings and hands. Red coloured top pusher and technical looking dial making it a most distinctive looking watch.
