The Junghans Pilot, calls upon some of the earlier Junghans designs to bring about a military style aviation wristwatch. In the past Junghans were manufacturers of military watches as well as fighter aircraft instrument clocks, so their design archives have a wealth of expertise qualifying them to produce this military aviation inspired wristwatch. The design is somewhat reminiscent of the WW II pilot watch and one that can be seen in the Longines and Lemania designs, especially those issued to the Czechoslovakian air force. Large and substantial stainless steel case with brushed steel finish, which is rugged and utility looking. Has a uni directional ratchet operated rotating bezel, which is “pinched” to allow easy gripping. The bezel is sturdy and has a quality feel to the clicks. Has a mat black dial with large and bold luminous numbers and markers. Luminous filled broad hands. Arrow pointer sweep second hand.
