Terms and Conditions of Sale

Payment should be made by on line by credit or debit card, cheque, bank wire transfer, postal order that can be drawn in UK £ sterling.  Credit card payments can be accepted with Visa and MasterCard

Please note. All watches are sold fully functional and are described as accurately as possible.

Vintage Watches -  Watches keep time as expected with vintage mechanical watches. They are prone to loosing or gaining time. Since they are vintage, they cannot be guaranteed for accuracy or reliability. Timekeeping on vintage watches varies from 20 seconds to 2 minutes per day.

Brand new watches.  Brand new watches that we are authorised dealers for that we are agents for carry manufacturer warranties that are between one and three years. Brand new watches that we are not authorised dealers for carry a 30 day warranty. Accuracy on automatic and hand winding non chronometer watches work to a quoted tolerance of 12 to 15 seconds per day, chronometer rated watches work towards an accuracy of 6 seconds per day.

Pre owned watches (less than 2 years old) will 90 day warranty depending on the watch.  The same warranty is for brand new watches that we are not agents for.  They are all tested to be functional and in mechanically working order before shipping.  They are not tested for water resistance and any pre owned watch is not covered by warranty for water resistance. Accuracy on pre owned automatic and hand winding watches are in the region of 15 second per day.

Quartz watches. batteries require changing every 2 to 7 years depending on the make and manufacture. Used quartz watches may have a battery life shorter than the quoted battery life as the battery has been in operation. Quartz accuracy is to the region of 1 to 5 seconds per month depending on the make and model

Pre owned watches older than 2 years old carry a 30 day warranty.
Other warranty work for watches that we are authorised dealers for carry the manufacturer warranty. Any manufacturing defect will be rectified by the manufacturer under the terms of the manufacturer warranty.

For water resistance on new or pre owned watch, the customer is required to follow the standard guidelines on water resistance as 3 or 5 ATM (metres) is not suitable for swimming.  Please consult industry standards before using in water.

For returns, any watch can be returned for a refund if un satisfactory i.e. the user does not like it when it arrives.  The watch needs to be unworn and in the same condition as when shipped and it must be returned within 14 working days. Any plastic seals or tape on the watch or bracelet must still be in place and not removed if it is to be returned. A refund to the full value of the watch will be provided less all postage costs. Most watches found to be faulty within 14 days of receipt will be replaced for a new watch, depending on manufacturers policy.  If the watch is older than 14 days and found to be faulty, then it can be returned for a warranty repair.  The warranty repair will be effected by the manufacturer.  They will repair all watches that have become faulty due to defective parts or faulty workmanship.  In some instances they will not repair a watch under warranty if it has been misused or been subject to accidental damage. i.e. there may be a charge in such cases. Items which have been specially ordered will incur a 10% restocking fee.

We, Chronomaster Ltd, reserve the right to amend prices at any stage.  We also reserve the right to cancel orders or amend pricing for quotation or exchange rate errors.
Any watches taken in part exchange, traded are our bought in stock are subject to inspection before the transaction is concluded. The transaction will only be contractually concluded upon final inspection and both parties are satisfied that with the condition, standard and that the watch meets all expectations including one of correct style to meet the relative party's expectations. If either party is dissatisfied for whatever reason the contract or deal can be cancelled. We, Chronomaster Ltd, reserve the right to cancel a transaction or contract if upon final expectation the goods do not meet required standards, condition or style.

Dealership status.  For watches that we are authorised agents for, we act as an agent or dealer.  We are bound by dealer terms.  For any warranty claims or faulty items, we will act on behalf of the customer and facilitate a repair or warranty claim with the manufacturer on behalf of the customer.  We will not be liable for the manufactures warranty.  In the event of a warranty claim or repair, we will not issue a refund or a replacement unless the manufacturer wishes to do so.  We are strictly bound by the manufacturers terms of the warranty.
Deposits. Where a watch needs to be specifically ordered into stock a 10 percent deposit is required, the deposit is non refundable. If a deposit is paid on an item that is already in stock, this is refundable subject to credit card fees

UK Shipping is £10.00. fully insured registered delivery.  For heavy parcels or parcels that require additional insurance, the cost of shipping may increase  

Non UK shipping prices is £19.00. 

The watch will only be shipped upon clearance of funds into account, cheques etc.

Some watches cannot be shipped to certain countries.  Due to the vendor sales territory agreements.  Sinn watches can only be shipped to the UK and Ireland and other countries where there is no Sinn agent covering that country.  

Privacy policy.  All customer details such as name, address, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and other sensitive financial information is strictly confidential and never disclosed to third parties.
