Omega Flightmaster - Omega Serviced
Mint condition Omega Flightmaster hand wound chronograph serviced by Omega in September 2016 at a cost of £707. It is in outstanding condition, recently serviced and running like a dream with all functions operating correctly with all hands snapping back to zero correctly and keeping good time. The case is in excellent condition and it has got all of the original colour coded buttons. Quite often the buttons are replaced with generic buttons, as the originals with enamel colour coding can no longer be found – even Omega have run out. This is an Omega watch that is getting harder and harder to find. They are very collectible and very popular. It is the watch that does everything for the pilot, navigator or flight engineer. They are colourful large and very substantial in appearance and feel. As well as telling the time it has got a twelve hour chronograph, which is operated by the pushers at 2 and 4. It also has the rather essential GMT or dual time zone hand which enables the watch to be used for recording and calculating flight plans. This is operated by the crown and the 7 position. The GMT hand is the thick blue hand. It also has an internal rotating bezel which is operated by the crown and the 10 position. This is can be sued for calculating elapsed time on either the main time or on the GMT time. Again these are very useful functions for anybody travelling across time zones who need to record the flight time or any other kind of elapsed time. It is a handsome and charming watch with tons of appeal and charisma. It comes on the original Omega signed steel bracelet. The dial and hands are in excellent condition, thought there is some fading and patina to the dial adding to the overall vintage appeal of the watch. Hand wound movement. Dates to circa 1975. Dimensions are as follows: width is 43 mm excluding crown and 43mm including crowns/buttons, lug to lug is 53 mm, and the thickness is 15 mm.
