Orient Automatic Power Reserve Pilot Style Wristwatch

Mint condition and great value for money Orient Divers power reserve wristwatch.  Orient are a Japanese company who are gaining in popularity as they make wristwatches that have attractive designs and are very affordable.  This one is stainless steel with a stainless steel bracelet.  The dial is an aviation style with contrasting broad hands, bold primary numerals and hour markings with contrasting orange sweep second hand. Automatic movement.  Unusual and smart design.  The pusher at the 2 position is a pump pusher, like on a chronograph, it manually changes the date in the window at the 3 position.  Has a power reserve indicator in the semi circular sub dial at 12, sturdy rotating bezel.  Hardlex scratch resistant crystal, screw down crown, sturdy aviation style on hour uni directional ratchet operated rotating bezel water resistant to 100 metres, all stainless steel with solid back.  Signed clasp with fliplock safety clasp.  Large and substantial watch.  Comes in box, outer card sleeve.  UK list price is £225 Unbeatable value for money watch.  Width is 42 mm excluding crown and 48 mm including crown, Lug to lug is 48 mm, Thickness is 14 mm.  Ref NWW 328 Price is £95 or US $175

 

Locman Mare Automatic

Locman are one of Italy’s biggest selling watch brands and are closely associated with fashion watches.  Whilst popular and well established in Italy and in central Europe, they are a strong emerging brand in other parts of Europe, the Far East and North America.  They are well established in certain communities in North America and heavily promote in Hollywood and as a result, many Hollywood celebrities as well as sports personalities have been photographed wearing a Locman watch.  This one is the Mare automatic which is one of the entry level Locmans.  It is large and bold, but not heavy as it is constructed of titanium.  The case is a combination of polished and brushed titanium.  Has a carbon fibre dial with batons and large red numerals. Red accented hands and red sweep second hand.  It has a sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 10 ATM.  Comes on a fabric strap with leather underside so makes comfortable and soft contact with the skin.  The watch is 6 months old, excellent condition and comes in the Locman carry case, complete with open warranty booklet.  Dimensions are: Width is 46 mm excluding the crown 52 mm including crown, 52 mm lug to lug and 17 mm thick.  Ref NWW 316 sold

Invicta are famous for making stylish and unique looking watches, but don’t cost a fortune.  Many of the movements are quartz and the watches are produced and marketed in quantity allowing for Invicta to aggressively market at low prices.  This results in watches that look stylish, look the part but are easy on the wallet.  This one is a large watch, very contemporary looking, with a current “Italian” looking flare to it.  It is bold with sweeping lines and it looks like and “I don’t care what you think – I like it” watch.  It feature s a copper guilloche dial, professional Swiss quartz 10th second chronograph, combination polished and stainless steel, genuine argentine leather with custom design deployment buckle, globule crown and pushers, domed mineral crystal, luminova luminous hands, date display at the 4 position, attractive dial features including retrograde style subsidiary seconds hand. Used but barely used mint condition Aristo ME 262 automatic wristwatch Aristo were fromed in1907 by clcokmaker Julius Epple in Pforzheim, Germany – one of Germany’s central regions of watch hand clock making.  Until the early 90’s it was still run as a family business by Helmut Epple, the grandson of the founder.  Coming up to retirement, he found a suitable successor, Hansjoerg Vollmer, of (Vollmer watches), who has taken the company from strength to strength.  The ME 262 pays homage the Messerschmitt 262, the first operational jet military plane of the world.  Developed in 1939 towards the end of the war, this miracle jet had a maximum speed of over 870 km/h the by far fastest airplane of its time, and nearly trebled the speeds of the propeller planes of the time.  It is designed in true world war 2 pilot fashion with large engine turned “bulb” crown made so as it is easy to use whilst wearing flight gloves and a matching engine turned bi directional friction rotating bezel.  Has long straight lugs and riveted strap – all very reminiscent of the early pilot watches.  This one has large numerals and an impression of the ME 262 on the dial, along with the numbers 262 which incorporate the 6 hour position.  Also has a date window at the 3 position discreetly placed at the central tip of the 3.  Solid high grade brushed steel case, with glass display back showing off the ETA 2824-2 movement with decorated winding rotor.  Scratch resistant sapphire crystal and it is 50 metres water resistant.  Each one is individually numbered.  Comes in original box with unsigned warranty card. Brand new and unused, fully boxed and papered Mido Ocean Star Datoday officially certified Swiss chronometer.  This is a very retro looking watch with a style that has come straight out of the 1950’s.  it is absolutely superb in design, crafted to very high standards, with stunning all round good looks, so you get the classic watch which is built to modern standards and has not suffered the mistreatment that the original would have endured over the years.  The watch is round with the integrated mesh bracelet.  It has a brushed radial pattern silver dial with silver and black applied baton markings and hands, with luminous discreet markings.  Day and date in English at the 3 position.  Has Mido signed winding crown and Mido signed bracelet.  The bracelet is easy to adjust with a lot of spare room for the largest of wrists.  The mesh bracelet is superb quality and the watch is a comfortable wear. Has an acrylic crystal. It comes with the box, outer sleeve, instruction booklet unsigned warranty card, hang tag and of course the chronometer certificate.  Width is 38 mm, lug to lug is 38 mm, Thickness is 10.5 mm Ref: NWW 208. sold

Ulysse Nardin is a company steeped in history and have been exemplary in their technological innovations since their formation, buy the founder, Ulysse Nardin in Switzerland in 1846. The have won no fewer than 4,300 awards, among which are 18 highly coveted gold medals. The have long been associated with nautical timekeeping, astronomical positioning and calculating, as well as precision timekeeping. This is a Marine Chronometer, which is a stunning looking watch and the flagship product in the UN range of watches. The movement is an officially rated Swiss Chronometer. It is a UN caliber 11 ½ " UN-26 automatic movement. It has a power reserve indicator in the top part of the dial and subsidiary seconds in the lower part of the dial. The subsidiary second sub dial is very large for accurate time reading. It has a sapphire crystal and screw down crown with a water resistance of 200 metres. It is a polished stainless steel case with silver dial an blue applied numerals and large blue hands. The date window is in the sub seconds dial and is magnified with a lens underneath the crystal. The words 1846 are in bold red print, denoting the year of establishment of the company. The watch is four years old, and is in excellent but used condition. There are surface marks to the bracelet from regular wear. UK list price is £2,600 (US $4,840). Mint condition Minerva hand wound wristwatch with Minerva calibre 48 movement.  Minerva are a long established Swiss watch maker, still going strong today.  They have a reputation for manufacturing high quality products. They are also known for having just a few products in the product line up, and focusing on creating a beautiful and brilliant watch, where a lot is invested in the development of the individual watch, rather than spending on a large product range. They are one of the few watch companies left in the world still creating their own in house movements.  Along with the likes of Patek Philippe, Lange & Sohne, Rolex and a few others, they stand head and shoulders above the others as they produce their own movements creating a uniqueness rarely found in watch making today.  The name stamped on the dial which matches the name stamped on the movement, is the true sign of a pure bred manufacturer.  This is certainly the case with Minerva.  This is a Gents all stainless steel hound wound wristwatch with black dial, and very superior movement.  It is in perfect condition and is a feast for the eyes.  It is very attractive, all original, with original strap.  Has a mat black dial with polished subsidiary seconds dial, bold numerals and hands beautifully proportioned case and well balanced attractive dial. Has a sapphire crystal and a glass display back proudly showing off the unique calibre 48 movement. Comes with original strap, signed buckle, very good quality inner box and outer box and paperwork indicating it was bought in Geneva in January 1999.  Dimensions are: Width is 34 mm excluding crown and 37 mm including crown, Lug to lug is 42 mm, Thickness is 9 mm  Ref.
