It is not difficult to see why when it is on your wrist.  This is the rare “logo” model where the Panerai logo is printed in the lower part of the dial.  It is a limited edition and I number 359 out of 1,100.  It is just over two years old.  It is built like a tank and to the highest of standards.  It is unique looking attractive looking and makes a very bold statement about the owner.  It is a handsome, striking and daring watch, with a great deal of appeal.  The watch is steeped in history and was used by the Italian war time divers on the 2 man submarines that they rode “horseback” style.  The company still exists today but fortunately making watches for a more passive clientele.  The watch is approximately 2 years old.  It is the hand wound version and is the more popular large size which is 44 mm across excluding the crown.  Whilst it is a large watch it is very comfortable to wear and does not feel obtrusive on the wrist. The Panerai is the king of the cult classics, and the Panerai Luminor Marina is an outstanding one in the range to be owned.  It is not difficult to see why when it is on your wrist.  It is built like a tank and to the highest of standards.  It is unique looking attractive looking and makes a very bold statement about the owner – bold, brash, unashamed, and yes….”I have it so I’m going to flaunt it, and if you don’t like it you don’t have to look”.  It is a handsome, striking and daring watch, with a great deal of appeal.  The watch itself is in excellent condition and has been well looked after.  The watch is steeped in history and was used by the Italian war time divers on the 2 man submarines that they rode “horseback” style.  The company still exists today but fortunately making watches for a more passive clientele.  It is an automatic and is the more wearable smaller size which is 40 mm across excluding the crown.  The bigger ones can be a bit too big, but this is the perfect size Panerai for people who do not like the giant size watches.  It has the magnifying lens on the under  side of the crystal so as not to interrupt the plane of the crystal.  The water resistance comes from the crown clamp, pushing the crown into place.  Has a sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 300 metres.  The watch comes with the beautiful wooden box, genuine Officine Panerai signed tan strap with signed double push button butterfly deployant clasp, instruction and information booklet, warranty booklet, warranty “credit” card.  The dimensions are as follows: Width is 40 mm excluding crown and 44 mm including crown, Lug to lug is 48 mm, Thickness is 16 mm. It was bought in Edinburgh, Scotland in May 2002, so is exactly 2 years old. Has a GMT function, with independently settable GMT hand, magnified date window, with the magnifying lens on the under side of the crystal so as not to interrupt the plane of the crystal.
