The watch had to pass all of the extreme testing for the good reason that during space travel, it would be subjected to the environments that were simulated during the tests. This being outer space, the most extreme and hostile environment known to man. Some of the conditions it required endurance was to survive massive acceleration, compression, extreme and instantaneous temperature and humidity changes, amongst more. Used but mint condition, Anonimo Militaire Chrono Automatico.  Functional, stylish and distinctive looking watch, bearing military style good looks.  Anonimo was founded in Florence, Italy in 1997 by Florentine designer and businessman, Federico Massacesi.  His vision was to create a company specialising in the production of unique and high quality Italian watches and remaining true to Florentine watch making form and tradition.  That vision has catapulted Anonimo to become the most important Italian company making high quality, unique and stylish wristwatches.  This was success was perpetuated by Panerai, an existing Florentine company, being purchased by the Richemont Group.  After this acquisition, Panerai uprooted and left Florence leaving an elite and established team of veteran watchmakers wishing to continue their watch making tradition in Florence.  This wealth of expertise and skills of former Panerai staff joined forces with Federico to form the cornerstone on which Anonimo’s success has been built.  This one is the Militaire Chrono Automatico.  The movement is an automatic winding 47 jewel caliber ETA base 2892 A2 with colimassoné finish and with Dubois Depraz 2035 chronograph module, which is modified to Anonimo specifications by their in house technicians in order to position the stem at the 6 position and the push buttons on the left side of the case.  It features hours, minutes and sub seconds counter at the 9 position.  The chronograph has a twelve hour elapsed time at the 12 position, thirty minute elapsed time at the 3 position and the sixty second elapsed time is the central sweep chronograph hand.  It has a magnified date at the 6 position, with the magnifying lens fixed within the date aperture.  The watch case is sand blasted and satin finished in the highest grade AISI 316 stainless steel which is laser cut to give highly angular and sharp edges.  Scratch resistant sapphire crystal and patented crown locking device which is integrated into the watch strap and protects the crown.  To adjust the time, this device between the lower lugs pops open to expose the crown, and locks back into place to lock the crown into place for water resistance and security.  This allows a water resistance of 12 ATM which is approximately 120 metres.  The dial is anti reflective mate enamel black, concentric military time scale in red and super luminova luminosity.  The strap is patented original Kodiak process leather strap which allows for extended immersion in sea and fresh water.  Anonimo engraved on reverse of the brushed steel buckle. It celebrates 125 years of the Reverso and sold in conjunction with worldwide retailers, Wempe. It was originally purchased in 2003, but has not been used as there is no wear to the strap and it is unmarked. Jaeger LeCoultre are one of the few elite Swiss watchmakers who manufacture their own movements in house.  They are a company was established in 1833 in the Vallee de Joux watch making region of Switzerland.  They are highly regarded for their quality timepieces, technical innovation, and one of the most stringent and fanatical testing centres in Switzerland.  Jaeger-LeCoultre have been instrumental in the development of wrist alarms, and they developed the first automatic wrist alarm 1958. Jaeger-LeCoultre were also instrumental in developing this complication and it is a function which is popular and widely used in wristwatches today. This is a beautifully engineered and crafted wristwatch which is in an Art Deco style, a design of Jaeger-LeCoultre which has been largely unchanged for decades. The case is polished stainless steel, which is perfectly symmetrical, well finished with smoothly integrated angles making a classical masterpiece in looks, especially with its tiered Art Deco style case edges, large square pushers and large crown. Being a Reverso, the face part of the watch slides across and can be reversed to display the case back. The original ingenious idea being to protect the crystal if the user was embarking on an activity that could potentially damage the face of the watch. However the back of this watch is also a crystal and the movement is displayed when it is reversed. The crystals on both sides are scratch resistant sapphire crystal and are un blemished. The dial is white with Roman numerals and blued steel épée hands. There is a day night indicator at the top centre of the dial, and moon phase indicator at the lower centre of the dial, with these two complications, it makes for a fine looking classical masterpieces. This is also very evident when the watch is reversed and the movement is displayed and is more of an art form than a piece of precision engineering (though it is a precision engineered movement of course). The movement is an in house Swiss made calibre 823, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, blued steel screws, 23 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, shock resistant. Franck Muller Casablanca Sahara 6850 automatic wristwatch. Franck Muller was born in 1958. He spent his childhood in La Chaux-de-Fonds with his Italian mother and Swiss-born father. When 15, he enrolled in a watch making school. In the early 1980s, he graduated from the Swiss school of watch making. Afterwards he began repairing top quality pocket watches. Close to an independent watchmaker by the name of Svend Andersen, Franck Muller became responsible for handling watches from the collection of Patek Philippe. Most of the clientele were private individuals and museums. While he was working with complicated timepieces, he became passionate about their mechanisms and began to think of building his own workshop. The brand of watches carries the slogan "Master of Complications". Franck Muller's watches are worn by various celebrities, among them Demi Moore, Robin Williams, Elton John, 50 Cent, and José Mourinho. Franck Muller timepieces are famous for their fusion of "modern" style, mostly inspired by American watches from the thirties, like the Elgin tonneau, and traditional Swiss watch manufacturing. The president of the company is Frank Muller himself. He claims to design the mechanism of every watch by himself. Soon after, in 1984, Franck Muller designed his own tourbillon wristwatch. In the 1980s, few watchmakers were capable of creating such complicated timepieces, among them Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin. The private clients of Franck Muller continued to come for new timepieces, and thus his business started growing. The House of Franck Muller opened in 1991, and his ultra complicated timepieces instantly became famous in Europe and the United States. Today, his factory, which is also the headquarters of Franck Muller, produces a limited number of watches for private clientele. Franck Muller's collections include a variety of designs and price ranges. The Casablanca is a design harking back to a bygone era in a typical Art deco fashion with its curved tonneau shaped case, with sleekly formed sapphire crystal integrating seamlessly into the fascia of the case, the case is polished stainless steel with a steel back secured by screws. The dial is white with so called exploding numerals, as in Typical Art Deco fashion, the numeral colour and hand colour are burned orange in colour, which is more of a terracotta colour. The hands like the rest of the watch are typical Art Deco lozenge style. Comes on original terracotta strap with original steel pin buckle. It comes in the original leather suitcase style box, in the style of an African safari trunk. The terracotta colours, strap and suitcase box are reflective of the model name Sahara. No papers but guaranteed authentic and genuine.. It has an automatic calibre 2800 movement. Mint condition Jacob & Co World Time. This watch was purchased in the USA 3 years ago. They have a retail price of £25,000 which is US $40,000. Some information on Jacob & Co, not my words, but taken from the Jacob & Coweb site: "....For over a quarter of a century, Jacob & Co has created revolutionary timepieces and jewelry for men and women. As the world’s premier house for the fusion of impeccable quality, classic technique, and unmatched creativity, Jacob & Co is the first choice for discerning individuals whose demand for superb craftsmanship is matched with a taste for visionary artistry in both jewelry and fine watchmaking. Whether fashion, film, or music stars in the entertainment world, or simply lovers of flawless attention to detail, every Jacob and Co client experiences the finest in personal service and workmanship. Admirers of prevailing beauty will find no rival to the alchemy of edge and elegance that is Jacob & Co. The innovations created by Jacob & Co have been, and always will be, revolutions in style that create a fresh vision of timepiece and jewelry design; a vision which nurtured a new generation of fine watchmaking and jewelry connoisseurs. The originality and vision achieved by Jacob & Co has, in the years since its inception, become an international phenomenon. With timepieces and jewelry that are respected worldwide for their enduring value and lasting appeal, Jacob and Co continues to be the principal destination for the world’s most discriminating cognoscenti....." Taken with a pinch of salt no doubt and some flowery wording indeed, but believe what you may, this is a large and imposing looking watch with a lot of diamonds on it. It has 5 quartz modules for the separate time zones. The bezel is diamond studded on 18 karat gold and the map of the world is also made out of diamonds, albeit quite small diamonds, so it looks like a textured or three dimensional map. There are the main hands telling the local time and four smaller time zone hands placed in North America, Asia, South America and Africa. Presumably Australasia, Far East etc, is not deemed important enough to get its own timezone, but I guess with limited workspace on the dial some nations have to cop for it. Great Britain is lucky enough to get a diamond of its own and so does Iceland, which appears to have more icy look than the other diamonds. The Black Sea is also coloured black, but Greenland is a yellowy colour. The Jacob & Co watches are made popular as they are worn by illuminati such as David Beckham, Mike Tyson, Elton John and many other style icons of our generation. In seriousness though, its an expensive watch with a massive retail price and advertised here at a fraction of the retail price, more regarded as a fun watch. Comes in the original box with paperwork, original black strap – has a tear on the end of it but that is hidden by the buckle, and spare yellow strap. Original retail is £25,000. Width is 47 mm excluding crown and 49 mm including crowns, lug to lug is 47 mm, Thickness is 12 mm.  Ref. NWW 846. Price is £5,995 or US $9,750

Mint condition and recently serviced Heuer Monte Carlo Rally Timer. The Monte Carlo was introduced in 1958 to replace the Autavia. It was intended as a dashboard mounted timer for timing events up to 12 hours. Applications for the Monte Carlo were wide ranging, and apart from the intended use in Rally cars, they also found their way into military aeroplanes and jets and commercial timing applications such as this one. The back is stamped with S.T.V which is an abbreviation for Scottish television. No doubt it was used for timing live programming.  The timers issued to the Royal air force are evident as they have British military stamps on the case backs. The Monte Carlo features a 12-hour numerical counter in a window at the bottom of the dial. Heuer proudly announced that the new central register (for seconds) and jumping disc for hours assured the "greatest legibility ever found in a stopwatch". This one is a two button model. The button at the 12 position is used for winding the timer, starting and stopping the timer and the button at the 2 position is used for resetting the hands and hour wheel. The thin hand shows the seconds, the thick arrow head hand shows the minutes and up to twelve hours are shown in the window in the lower centre of the dial. It also has a rotating bezel which is not ratcheted and bi directional, this is used for a second timing event. The Monte Carlo is often paired with a Master Time clock on a double back-plate, the Monte Carlo was one-half of the classic Rally-Master pair. The minute arrow hand appears to be re-lumed. The crystal is acrylic and the case is plastic and so is the back plate. The clock easily detaches from the back plate by a simple twist action. There are holes in the back plate used for dashboard mounting. The pictures show it attached and detached from the back plate. Sinn Flieger 856 Automatic Wristwatch, this is the new replacement model the the now discontinued Sinn 656, one of Sinn’s best selling models. It is very similar in looks but has increased proportions as the older 656 was slightly on the small side. For those who prefer the smaller dimension, the 556 A is the same size as the older 656.  The watch has been modified and upgraded to include a Tegimented case and copper sulphate water absorbing capsule. The watch case hardened using Tegiment technology provides extremely effective protection from scratches on the case surface. To achieve this, we do not apply any coatings of foreign materials; rather, the surface of the watch case itself is hardened in a special process. To keep the cases of Sinn watches in the best possible condition when they are worn, A Tegimented stainless steel case has a surface hardness of approximately 1200 Vickers. This value corresponds roughly to the hardness of commonly used zirconium oxide ceramics. By comparison, an unhardened stainless steel case has a hardness of approximately 220 Vickers. It also has Ar-Dehumidifying technology which solves a basic problem of mechanical watches: the aging of oils due to moisture in the air contained inside, or diffusing into, the watch. The movement is mounted in a nearly anhydrous atmosphere thanks to the three Ar-Dehumidifying technology elements of drying capsule, EDR seals and protective gas filling. Aging processes and fogging of the crystal from sudden cold are prevented, and reliable functioning and accuracy are ensured.   A simple design, with 4 large prime hour numbers, jet black with white markings and hands gloving maximum visibility and clarity.  The design is based on an aircraft clock.  As well as being a lovely practical looking watch, it is highly functional and is extremely resistant to magnetic interference, and has a strong well finished crystal and case.  There is a small date window between the 4 and 5 hour markings.  It is small so not to interfere with the numeric symmetry of this beautifully designed watch. Sandblasted stainless steel case and bracelet.  The watch features a 21 jewel Swiss made ETA 2824-2 automatic working at 28.800 semi-oscillations per hour, Seconds stop function for accurate time setting, shock resistant as per DIN 8308,  anti-magnetic as per DIN 8309, for protection up to 80,000 A/m. It has a screw down crown and case back, 20 ATM water resistance which is around 200 metres, high quality stitched leather strap and signed buckle, stop seconds for accurate time setting, sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating presentation box, paperwork and 2 year factory warranty. Width is 40 mm at widest excluding crown and 44 mm including crown, Lug to lug is 47 mm, Thickness is 11 mm.  Ref SIN 97a Price is £1,075

Ventura V-Tec Delta Swiss made unique digital watch with EasySkroll operating system. The watch is brand new and unused with 2 year factory warranty. This avant-garde timepiece has nothing in common with the attributes associated with the usual digital watches; as all the products from Ventura, it is high end and visibly so. What is most notable is the absence of fiddly push buttons. the EasySkroll® System patented by Ventura has a large, single scroller that guides smoothly through the many useful functions and settings of the V-Tec Delta. It uses an in house Ventrua VEN 04 Swiss made quartz movement. The architecture of the V-Tec Alpha is archetypical and iconic. Hannes Wettstein is to be commended for using his complete freedom in a most diligent and disciplined way; his Kappa is a perfectly balanced ergonomically well-thought masterpiece. Its classic appearance is enhanced by the matte finish case made of Titanox, the tempered, scratch resistant titanium alloy that has become a Ventura trademark. Titianox is superior to regular titanium whereby the metal is nitrogen hardened to 1,300 HV, which is equivalent to the hardness of sapphire which renders the titanium virtually scratch proof.  The watch functions are operated by the scrolling button which is integrated into the case.
