Mint condition Rolex Submariner 16610 LV “Green Sub” dating to 2010. It is commonly known as the green sub due to its green bezel. It is an V prefix model and was originally purchased from Rolex authorised dealers, Mercers Jewellers in Eniskillen, Ireland. The Green Sub has a maxi dial where the indexes and hands are larger than the regular Submariner, so easier to read. The Green Sub was made for 7 years only and during its years of production was difficult to acquire due it being supplied in limited numbers. Therefore there were never that many in the market. Since it has been discontinued, the values are increasing due to its rarity and it is a guaranteed future classic because of its rarity. It was made as the 50th year anniversary model to celebrate 50 years of the Rolex Submariner. The submariner is a watch that needs no introduction, as it is unquestionably the most successful and widely known divers watch in the world. It is the watch that set the standard in professional divers watches and one that most other divers watches aspire to emulate. This watch has been used by the military for issue to special forces divers. It has been issued to divers working for under water pipe laying companies. It is 300 metres resistant, sturdy uni directional, ratchet operated rotating bezel with screwed down crown and scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It comes complete with all boxes and papers including the new style chronometer “credit card” style card. Dimensions are: width is 39.5 mm excluding crown, 43.5 mm including crown and 47 mm lug to lug and thickness is 14 mm.
