Hamilton Hand Wound Chronograph
Used, but mint condition Hamilton hand wound chronograph. Hamilton are steeped in history and started out as a US company but now owned by Swiss watch making giants, the Swatch group, who own Omega, Tissot and Longines, to name but a few. It is an attractive and retro looking watch that is neatly dimensioned and proportioned watch. It is not a large watch, but has kept to smaller proportions. It has an attractive silver colour dial with contrasting black hands and dial print. The sub dials are symmetrically laid out in a tri compax arrangement. The sub dial markings are logical and clear. The dial layout is also very clear and clean looking with no unnecessary clutter. There is only a seconds track. The time is read off the fixed outer bezel which is black with silver Roman numeral printing. It is a clean and straight to the point watch. The case is stainless steel with long lugs, large crown an elliptical shaped pushers. It has a Hamilton signed steel snap on case back. The movement is a Lemania hand wound caliber 1873. Lemania are perhaps the most famous movement makers, who made the movements to the most famous watch in the world, the Omega Moon watch. In fact the Lemania 1873 forms the basis of the movement in the current Omega Moon watch. The movement is Hamilton signed. The crystal is a an acrylic plexi and is in excellent condition. It comes on a replacement black leather strap. There is no box or paperwork but guaranteed one hundred percent original and authentic. Dimensions are: width 33 excluding crown, 35 mm including crown, lug to lug 38 mm, thickness 13 mm.
