Tudor  Princess Oysterdate Lady Sub – Rolex Serviced

Excellent condition Tudor Princess Oysterdate Lady Sub automatic ladies divers wristwatch. The watch is a B serial watch dating from circa 1995, and comes with the original paperwork which is hole punched with the correct serial numbers but has not been dealer stamped. It was given a full service and overhaul at Rolex UK in September 2006 at a cost to the previous owner of £600. The cost was high due to the watch needing a new bezel and new sapphire crystal. It comes with a Rolex service guarantee for the service. The watch is a classic Rolex divers style and in fact has the appearance of the Rolex Yachtmaster which costs in excess of £3,000. It is a small and petite watch and a pretty looking thing especially with its two tone clouring. The case is stainless steel with a gold colour uni directional ratcheted rotating bezel and gold colour screw down which is a Rolex crown with the Coronet logo on the crown. The bracelet is steel and gold, but the links are believed to be gold plated. It has got a Tudor signed folding clasp. The case back is a screw on case back and is Rolex signed with Rolex and logo. The Tudors are manufactured by the Rolex company but branded as Tudor to give customers an alternative and less expensive version of the Rolex watch. As such it has got an ETA Swiss made movement and not a Rolex in house movement. These economies of scale are significant and passed on to the customer so a watch like this, which has all the hallmarks of Rolex fanatical quality but sold at a fraction of the price of a Rolex. Some would argue a very sensible alternative to a Rolex. This one is exactly that. It is a Rolex in every way except in the name. A fantastic outstanding quality and lovely looking watch that would make any owner proud to wear. It has a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, screw down crown and case back and is water resistant to 200 metres, champagne colour dial with raised luminous filled indices and magnified date at the 3 postion. Dimensions are as follows. Width is 26 mm excluding crown, 29 mm including crown and 33 mm lug to lug. Thickness is 9.5 mm.
