Mint condition Zenith Rainbow Flyback automatic chronograph with El Primero movement.  Zenith have been at the forefront of watch making, design and technical innovations for nearly 200 years. They have been long regarded as one of the finest Swiss watch manufacturers and one of the few companies who make every single component under one roof, from conception to completion, and each watch is an absolute masterpiece. This is the Rainbow with the el Primero flyback movement. They don’t get much better than the Zenith, in particular with the el Primero automatic flyback movement. The el Primero has been long regarded by watch experts the world over, as the finest automatic chronograph movement ever made. It has in the past been used in some of the most celebrated watch companies watches in the world. Until recently it was the movement used in the Rolex Daytona.  There are two variants of this watch, the colourful dial and the black dial. The colourful dial stands out and a very noticeable and prominent watch, it is a handsome watch and the dial colours, red hands and red indexes on the bezel break up the regular black/white colour scheme to create a practical and purposeful watch that is also a beautiful watch.  It is rugged and technical looking watch. Anybody who knows about watches will instantly recognise this as one of the most desirable to have. Mint condition Zenith Elite GMT automatic wristwatch.  The watch is a large and handsome looking watch with an ever popular GMT functions,  The case is made from polished stainless steel with a solid steel snap on case back.  The crown is non screw down and is flush against the crown protecting shoulders.  The case has a fixed 24 hour bezel for use with the GMT hand.  The movement is the world renowned Swiss made Zenith Elite Caliber 682 with 26 jewels operating at 28,800 bph. It is an in house made movement and for many collectors, the name on the dial corresponds with the name on the movement, then the watchmakers can truly be known as watchmakers. The dial is with silver applied baton markers and hands,. It has got an 60 second internal fixed bezel.  There is a date at the 3 position which is quick set.  The subsidiary seconds dial is at the 9 position and it of course has a GMT hand which is the blue arrow tipped hand.  The GMT hand can be set independently of the main time hands and it is set by depressing a recessed pusher on the side of the case at the 10 position. It is 3 ATM water resistant and has a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It comes on a black sporty looking Hirsch replacement strap with deployment buckle.  It comes with the original box and warranty card, the card has been damaged and is taped together. The card states that it was originally purchased in Harrods, London in 2001. Width is 38 mm excluding crown, 41 mm including crown, lug to lug is 44 mm, and 8 mm thick. Ref. Mint condition and new looking condition Zenith hand wound wristwatch.  It comes on a genuine Zenith alligator strap with original signed Zenith buckle – the strap and buckle alone retail at around £200 (US $400).  Zenith are a Swiss company steeped in history since 1865, and are a world class organisation producing some of the finest chronometric instruments on the market today. They are innovators and style setters.  Zenith continue to make watches today and one would struggle to find a new Zenith priced below £1,300.  On average they will be at least £2,200 for a new Zenith.  Vintage ones however come at more affordable prices such as this on.  This one is 1965 Zenith stainless steel, calibre 40 T chronometer grade movement.  Whilst this one is not a certified chronometer, Zenith used the calibre 40 T in their chronometer watches and is reputed to be one of the finest hand wound chronometer grade movements ever made.  The watch is testing to be accurate to 12 seconds per day.  The dial and hands are in mint condition and has dauphine style gold colour hands an applied baton markers.  This is a beautiful looking wristwatch.  Overall new looking condition, with Zenith signed movement, strap, buckle, dial and original signed winding crown.  Dimensions are 35 mm excluding crown, 37 mm including crown and 42 mm lug to lug and 8 mm thick. As new condition and Zenith automatic wristwatch dating from the late 1960’s.  It was purchased by the first owner of the watch a year ago, who bought it from new old stock. He had it serviced and put on a Hirsch Rally strap with steel deployant buckle. Zenith are a Swiss company steeped in history since 1865, and are a world class organisation producing some of the finest chronometric instruments on the market today. They are innovators and style setters.  Zenith continue to make watches today and one would struggle to find a new Zenith priced below £1,300.  On average they will be at least £2,200 for a new Zenith.  Vintage ones however come at more affordable prices such as this on.  The watch case and dial are flawless.  It has blue wax seals still in tact around the edges of the case and a blue wax seal on the case back.  This is visible in the pictures.  Absolutely stunning metallic two tone silver dial with the batons in a dark silver circle whilst the centre is lighter silver.  It has black baton markings and day and date at three. Sweep central seconds hand. The date is quickset by extending the crown to the second position, the day change is not quickset.  It has got a screw down crown which is quite rare for a watch of this age.  It is heavy and thick stainless steel, which is brushed and polished, the case is an unusual but attractive design and very retro looking.  Comes on a replacement strap.  Width is 37 mm excluding crown, 40 mm including crown, lug to lug is 42 mm, and 11 mm thick. Mint condition and brand new looking as new Zenith on original bracelet purchased about a year ago for the first time from new old stock originally dating from the early 1970’s.  Zenith of course is as strong and popular today as they have always been.  The watch case and dial are flawless. Absolutely stunning blue dial with applied silver baton markings and silver luminous filled hands.  Date at 4 position which is a black wheel with white text, making this a very handsome watch.  The date is quickset by extending the crown to the second position.  Sweep central seconds hand and signed crown.  It is large and heavy stainless steel, which is brushed and polished, the case is an unusual but attractive design where it is “pinched at the corners.  The crown is marked with the Zenith logo as is the dial. It comes on the original bracelet which is full size and marked with the Zenith logo on the folding clasp.  Width is 38 mm excluding crown, 40 mm including crown, lug to lug is 38 mm, and 11.5 mm thick. They are innovators and style setters.  Zenith continue to make watches today and one would struggle to find a new Zenith priced below £1,300.  On average they will be at least £2,200 for a new Zenith.  Vintage ones however come at more affordable prices such as this on.  The watch is testing to be accurate to 15 seconds per day.  It has a mint condition dial and hands, near mint case, with small opening marks.  This is a beautiful looking wristwatch.  It has a white enamel dial, with black printed numbers and hands which is practical since it is a small watch, but the black numbers and hands make it more legible.  Subsidiary second hand and attractive simple yet appealing dial.  It is slender and attractive with beautifully rounded edges with curved acrylic crystal making the profile “soft” and elliptical in shape. This is the Rainbow Elite Diver with Zenith in house automatic movement.  Zenith have been long regarded by watch experts the world over, as the finest automatic wristwatch movements ever made. They have in the past been used in some of the most celebrated watch companies watches in the world. Until recently the el Primero movement was the movement used in the Rolex Daytona.  This wristwatch is equipped with the Elite automatic movement, manufactured in Switzerland by Zenith.  The mechanism incorporates horological knowledge of tradition and the result of research oriented towards the most advanced technologies.  Reserved for fine quality collections, and for renowned watches in the chronometer collection, this movement has marked an event in the renewal of mechanical horology.  The movement is a 27 jewelled automatic calibre 11 ½ “ with central rotor on ball bearings winding in both directions.  It has a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.  It beats at 28,800 alternations per hour, has an annular balance wheel with auto compensating hairspring.  The balance is protected by a shockproof device and the regulator is fine tuned with a micrometric screw. Zenith began production in Switzerland in 1865 and are one of the few companies that can call themselves a manufacturer, as they design, manufacture and assemble all components in their own factories.  The Zenith Class uses the calibre 680 Elite movement.  The creation of which was the result of more than 5 years of research, and is recognised in the horological world as being of unique and of exceptional quality and technical brilliance.  It combines qualities of performance, reliability and precision in it’s elegant geometry.  To go along with such qualities of the movement, the face of the watch has to really reflect what drives it, and this is precisely the case with the Elite.  It is designed in a stylish, classical design, with pearl finish matt silver dial which has got a guilloche centre circle.  It is plain and simple, yet unique, appealing and understated in its characteristics.  The face is clean, and the design is perfect.  The main time hands are gold, and the sub dial hands are black.  The seconds is in the sub dial at the 9 position and the power reserve is at the 2 position, these sub dials are recessed to give the dial three dimensional look, which is extenuated by the guilloche centre.  The case is likewise well designed and well balanced, with lovely curved angles on the lugs.  The winding crown is discreet and small, the case is made of 18 karat solid gold with a solid gold back making the watch quite heavy in proportion to its size.  It has nice touches such as the angled date window at the 5 position and the subsidiary seconds at the 9 position and stopping seconds for accurate time setting.  Comes in beautiful hardwood presentation box, with all papers.  UK retail on this watch was £3,200 (US $6,100).  The dimensions are as follows: Width is 36.5 mm excluding crown and 38 mm including crown, Lug to lug is 42 mm, Thickness is 8.5 mm. Newly overhauled by certified watchmaker with papers to indicate it has had a service as well as a new crystal.  The watch is testing to be accurate to 3 to 4 seconds per day.  It has a mint condition dial and hands, near mint case, with small opening marks.  The case back has presentation inscription.  Presentation watches are often the best ones as they were treasured watches and rarely worn.  This is a beautiful looking wristwatch.  It has a silver dial, gold numbers and hands.  Subsidiary second hand and attractive simple yet appealing dial.  Excellent condition Zenith signed movement. They are innovators and style setters.  Zenith continue to make watches today and one would struggle to find a new Zenith priced below £1,300.  On average they will be at least £2,200 for a new Zenith.  Zenith pocket watches cans till be bought today, but only come in the regain of a £2,500 starting price.  Whilst it is strictly speaking not a vintage pocket watch, it is certainly one termed as a modern watch, it is still new old stock as the condition is as new, and this model was around in Zenith catalogues in the early and mid 1980’s.  It is no longer made.  The case is gold plated and has an acrylic crystal to the front and the back.  The majority of the plates have been cut away tot eh front and back plate so that almost all of the movement is skeletonised and revealed to create and astonishing site that can be viewed form the front and the back of the watch.  All of the functions including the escapement and the winding actions can be clearly viewed at all times.  A site not often seen, but seen here is the mainspring tightening up as one winds the winding stem.  The winding stem ratchets are also seen as well as the main winding gears.  Of course the balance wheel, escape wheel and lever are clearly seen ticking happily away once it is fully wound up.  The plates are also highly embellished to the front and back giving a beautiful finish.  To the front of the watch, the numerals are printed in an enamel type circle around the edge of the watch.  The numerics are in Breguet style and are slender and elegant looking.  Likewise the hands are also Breguet style which are long and slender with punched out holes to wards the ends of them.  It comes with the original guarantee papers, the bottom part which should have been filled in and returned to Zenith has been left blank.  It also comes with the Zenith hang tag.  This is one for the connoisseur or collector of fine wristwatches, the Zenith collector, or anybody else who appreciates the fascination of a finely crafted movement.  Dimensions are width is 50 mm, thickness is 10 mm.  Ref. Mint condition Zenith Rainbow Flyback automatic chronograph with El Primero movement.  Zenith have been at the forefront of watch making, design and technical innovations for nearly 200 years. They have been long regarded as one of the finest Swiss watch manufacturers and one of the few companies who make every single component under one roof, from conception to completion, and each watch is an absolute masterpiece. This is the Rainbow with the el Primero flyback movement. They don’t get much better than the Zenith, in particular with the el Primero automatic flyback movement. The el Primero has been long regarded by watch experts the world over, as the finest automatic chronograph movement ever made. It has in the past been used in some of the most celebrated watch companies watches in the world. Until recently it was the movement used in the Rolex Daytona.  There are two variants of this watch, the colourful dial and the black dial. Mint condition and un used as new Zenith Movado new old stock automatic wristwatch dating from the 1970’s.  At some point in history Zenith and Movado merged as a company.   Zenith of course is as strong and popular today as they have always been.  The watch case and dial are flawless.  It has blue wax seals still in tact around the edges of the case and a purple wax seal on the case back.  This is visible in the pictures . Absolutely stunning metallic blue dial with white markings and date at 4 position which is a blue wheel with white text, making this a very handsome watch.  The date is quickset by extending the crown to the second position.  Sweep central seconds hand and signed crown.  It is large and heavy stainless steel, which is brushed and polished, the case is an unusual but attractive design where it is “pinched at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 positions.  The crown is marked with the Zenith logo as is the dial.  Comes on a replacement strap.  Width is 38 mm excluding crown, 40 mm including crown, lug to lug is 38 mm, and 11.5 mm thick. Very rare and difficult to find Zenith Super Sub Sea hand wound chronograph.  They are especially difficult to find in such condition, which is near mint condition, and a good 85 per cent. They are innovators and style setters.  Zenith continue to make watches today and one would struggle to find a new Zenith priced below £1,300.  On average they will be at least £2,200 for a new Zenith.  This is a beautiful looking wristwatch and retro wristwatch, but of course not a look alike retro, this one is the genuine article as it dates to the late 1960’s.  Striking looking, clean in appearance, sweeping lines and a bold wristwatch indeed.  Zenith have got a long standing reputation of manufacturing watches to the highest of standards, and this is certainly true of this watch.  This is a large and substantial watch.  It has a thick and sturdy solid stainless steel case designed in a style, very fitting of the lat 1960’s.  The case shape which is TV screen shape with small flat lugs was popularised by Heuer with the Monaco and Camaro models.  Zenith have adapted this style and taken their watches into a league of their own.  It has beautiful dial colours, with the main dial being polished silver and the internal rotating bezel and sub dials in polished dark silver – almost grey in colour.  The hands are fluorescent orange with luminous fill and the primary numbers on the bezel are the same colour as the hands.  The numbers on the sub dials are likewise in orange.  Has orange luminous dot in the central sweep chronograph hand.  in It has a silver dial, gold numbers and hands.  The internal bezel is operated by the crown at the 10 position.  The watch is hand wound and all buttons and the winding crown are original, the winding crown at 3 is Zenith signed.  Has a 12 hour chronograph with the 60 minute elapsed timer being the central sweeping seconds hand, the 30 minute elapsed timer at the 3 position, the 12 hour elapsed timer at the 6 position and the subsidiary seconds at the 9 position.  Recently serviced and all functions work perfectly and keeps accurate time.  Comes on a replacement strap but a genuine Zenith leather strap and buckle can be sourced on request.  Dimensions are 40 mm excluding crown, 43 mm including winding crown and 44 mm lug to lug and 16 mm thick.
