Breitling Navitimer

Mint condition Breitling automatic chronograph. It was originally purchased from authorised Breitling dealers in Spain in 2000. It had a full service in 2014 a costing £650 and comes with a service receipt and some of the old parts/seals. It has again serviced shortly prior to advertising. It comes complete with all boxes and papers including the slide rule instructions, warranty booklet and all other paperwork. The model reference is A13022.1The Navitimer was first introduced in 1952, the Navitimer provided pilots and air crews with a highly innovative chronograph design. This particular one with this dial configuration is now discontinued and is a sought after model. For the first time, a watch featured a "navigation computer" capable of executing every calculation a flight plan requires.  These include: multiplication, division, calculating ground speed, calculating miles per hour, calculating miles per minute, calculating fuel consumption, calculating rate of climb or descent, calculating the distance of climb or descent and nautical and statute mile conversion.  This is a true professional instrument watch that has been adapted to today's even more strenuous requirements. Comes on original black leather strap with a little wear to it and Breitling pin buckle. It has an automatic winding Breitling calibre 13 movement which is the Breitling version of an ETA Valjoux 7750, with 25 jewel and operating at 28,800 vph and has a 42 hour power reserve. Nice tight rotating slide rule bezel and anti reflective sapphire crystal. Dimensions are: width is 41.5 mm excluding crown, 44 mm including crown and 47 mm lug to lug and thickness is 14.5 mm.
