Please note PayPal payment is not available on this watch. Zenith De Luca Mk1 Automatic Chronograph with original box and papers. The De Luca is a rare watch and collector’s classic. The design was an inception of the Zenith Italian distribution arm, De Luca. It was initially built in the late 1980’s when automatic watches were becoming increasingly popular following a slump in the market caused by quartz movements. The Mk 1 being the first of four versions of the De Luca with the black reverse panda dial. Other indicators of the Mk 1 are the simple non screw down pushers, unsigned crown and domed acrylic crystal. These were all updated on later versions. It does also of course house the El Primero movement, often regarded as the best automatic chronograph movement that has ever been made. The Mk 1 is a rare watch as only 1025 pieces were manufactured between 1988 and 1999. The retailer sold this model a year later as its dated 2000. Overall mint condition, the bracelet has been refinished so is without marks.
