Zodiac Astrographic SST Mystery Dial. It is complete with the original box, unstamped warranty card, hang tag and catalogue, featuring this very model on the front cover. The 1970's vision of the future of watchmaking is right here. A thick TV Screen case and chunky bracelet, opaque blue dial and partially invisible hands, with the second hand a representation of the sun. At the time it was a breakthrough in international watch styling, breaking away from watchmaking traditions with its forward looking and futuristic design. In addition a revolutionary date change, which is changed by pressing the crown down like a pusher rather then pulling it out to turn it. The case is milled from a single block of stainless steel. The Astrographic is equipped with the SST (split second timing) high frequency automatic movement with a rate of 36,000 vibrations per hour. This high beat makes for a more accurate watch.
