Bremont ALT1-ZT/51 GMT Chronograph Certified Chronometer

Mint condition Bremont ALT1-ZT/51. It comes complete with box and papers including the chronometer certificate and warranty card and strap changing tool. It was purchased in January 2023, so just seven months old when taken into stock. The UK retail price is £4995. It comes with the original strap with signed pin buckle as well as a replacement strap with Bremont original black PVD pin buckle.

The ALT1-Z was designed with aviators and world travellers in mind. Z stands for ‘Zulu Time’ and allows the wearer to display local time together with the official world time standard: Universal Time Coordinated (UTC), Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), or even Zulu time (Z).
This watch maintains the clean legible dial with the 24hr function having been moved to the bezel for improved clarity. Greater detailing around the stepped sub dials with micro lines on the ZT models has been made to give the dial more depth.

It is not completely unexpected to find that the world sets its time by Greenwich and not by Geneva. Whilst Geneva and Switzerland may be producing the vast majority of luxury wristwatches today, this certainly wasn’t always the case. In 1800 half of the world's watches, around 200,000 pieces a year, were produced on British shores by British watchmakers, which is an incredible statistic. Another wonderful statistic is that probably over 60-70% of the innovation in a modern day mechanical watch has come from Britain, including every major escapement design. Bremont's mission has always been to play a part in bringing back watchmaking to British shores.

Modified calibre 13 ¼''' BE-54AE automatic chronometer, 25 jewels, Glucydur balance, Anachron balance spring, Nivaflex 1 mainspring, 28,800bph, 42 hour power reserve. Bremont decorated skeletised rotor.

FUNCTIONS
Hour, minute, second, date at 3H, chronograph small counters with seconds 30 minutes and 12 hours, 24 hour GMT hand.

CASE
Hardened stainless steel Bremont Trip-Tick® construction with scratch resistant DLC treated case barrel. Case diameter 43mm, lug width 22mm, case thickness 16mm. Patented inner bi-directional Roto-Click® bezel. Operated by crown at 8H.

CASE BACK
Stainless steel with integrated flat crystal, 6 stainless steel screws with polished heads.

DIAL
Metal dial, coated nickel hands with Super-LumiNova® luminous coating.

CRYSTAL
Double anti-reflective, scratch resistant sapphire crystal.

WATER RESISTANCE
10 ATM, 100 metres.
