Bremont Boeing Model 247

Mint condition barely used Bremont Boeing Model 247 Black Dial Black Polymer Strap Watch BB247-SS/BK. Certified Swiss Chronometer. It was original purchased from authorised Bremont dealers Richard Sinton in Newcastle upon Tynein July 2017. UK retail price for this watch is £4695. It has all boxes, papers, strap changing tool, leather wallet, chronometer certificate, the standard black Seattle polymer Bremont strap with blue stitching, plus four other Bremont straps, all with Bremont buckles. (Leather Nato, black leather, honey leather, black nylon). The grey nylon strap on the watch is non Bremont but is included. There is also a spare set of strap bars and screws in the small cloth bag. Please note the first picture in the sequence is a catalogue image. Bremont have been working in partnership with Boeing who are one of the largest plane manufacturers, responsible for designing bombers and seaplanes in both World War I and World War II. As the first twin airline able to fly with one engine alone, the 1933 Boeing Model 247 aircraft surged forward to the forefront of the industry’s innovations in the 1930’s. The black 43mm Boeing Model 247 chronograph, designed by the Bremont brothers, themselves, was developed to accurately reflect the airliner’s revolutionary design features, combined with its focus on both speed and safety. The chronograph wristwatch, comprising of a Custom 465. Stainless Steel case construction and the brand’s patented Trip-Tick  technology, features a screw down crown and chrono-pushers to operate two sleek sub-dials positioned at the third and sixth hour.

The original Model 247 aircraft was famous for a new trans-continental speed record which set benchmarks for the next decade’s worth of airline design – just like the Bremont Boeing Model 247 Black is distinguishable for its expertly crafted power engine. The in-house developed caliber 13 ¼''' BE-50AE automatic chronometer is equipped to provide the wearer with endurance and precision, offering an impressive 42 hour power reserve. The perfectly manufactured Bremont watch also features a sapphire crystal glass back through which the movement can be admired at work.
