Junghans Messerschmitt Aircraft Hand Winding Cockpit Chronograph Clock

Vintage WWII era Junghans Messerschmitt aircraft cockpit clock that features a chronograph and a rotating bezel. Well made clock by one of the best names in German watch and clock making, Junghans who are still in operation to this day.

The clock has a fifteen minute chronograph operated by the button below the winding button which are both at the 6 position. The hands are set via a locking mechanism. This is the lever to the right side of the buttons and indicated by the red arrow. The hands can only be set by sliding the lever down, and then locked by pushing the lever up. This prevents accidental adjusting the time when winding the clock. An ingenious design for the day. The rotating bezel is used for additional elapsed timing.

The movement is a Junghans J30 BZ. The case back clips off and the movement still ahs the original protective cover. This is often missing from these clocks.

Clock and chronograph are running well. Nice piece of WWII history
