Seikos first highbeat divers watch, created in 1968, is an important part of this tradition. With a 10 beat high precision automatic caliber, a onepiece structure, a monodirectional rotating bezel and screw down protection crown, the success of this model laid the foundation for the Seiko divers watch development which has now, for 50 years, pushed back the frontiers of precision, durability and ease of use in watches for professional and recreational divers.

The SLA039J1 (SBEX011 JDM) is an updated version of the SLA025J1 with an updated Hi-Beat 8L55 movement and blue colorway. This is supplied with a blue version of the modern ZLM01 waffle strap similar to the black version provided with the new model.
