Mint and unused looking Seiko Prospex Limited Edition Green Forest SLA019J1. It is limited to 1968 pieces. It comes complete with boxes and papers, and was originally purchased from authorised Seiko dealers in Norwich in 2018. It comes on the steel bracelet as shown as well as an unused Seiko rubber strap with pin buckle. Since 1965, Seiko has continuously pushed back the boundaries in divers watch technology. Today, two landmarks in this illustrious history are honoured in new Prospex creations. In 1968,Seiko announced Japans first hi-beat divers and, ten years later, the worlds first quartz saturation divers watch was created. Now, these two important watches are remembered in commemorative creations that bring the latest in Seikos high technology watchmaking to those who work in and enjoy the underwater world. Limited edition number 1391 of 1968. It has a green bezel and green dial. This colour combination was in fact inspired by the green cedar trees on the island of Yakushima, a favourite diving area located in the south of Japan. The bezel is unidirectional with a 60-minute cedar-green zirconia ceramic insert and a thick monoblock case. Has a three fold clasp, with push button release, fliplock safety clasp and slide adjuster. The movement is Seiko in house, Japan made 8L35 calibre, which is a version of the Grand Seiko 9S55 movement. It beats at 28,800vph (4Hz). Functions include hours, minutes, central seconds and date
